Back from BSA summer camp. WOW! What a conviction when you realize 100+ young men are watching you and following your example.

A tool for temptation I have used is a visualization.

Your sin is a hammer blow. Think of communion, wine and bread. Think of Jesus on the cross for you. Then see each one of your sins as a hammer blow. (or the scourge/wip tassles). He took our sins upon Himself, and bore the pain and shame of them. If you can pause and realize that, it is a great deterrant or kills desires outright.

Another brother gave a very good tactic, decide beforehand, prepare and equip before the battle begins.

Thought Id give one last update on the this girl...she hasnt been at the house the last 3 or 4 times so IVe been delivering to her mother.
I believe she moved out.
The temptation seems to have solved itself.

Self control, however, can be used anywhere and there have been many other situations to use it. With practice its becomming easier.

I have found out that women, and esp. teenage girls, are very insecure about their bodies—even when flaunting their bodies. Many of them flaunt themselves because they are seeking that approval, even if it is only a sexual approval. Every time they can get a man’s attention with their body then they feel that much better of their own body. I think it is horrible that women do this to themselves and make us men their unwilling victim. But you can use this to your advantage. Pay little attention to her, or better yet, make any sort of attention you give this granddaughter negative, scowl at her, or look at her like she is a piece of filth—if you can undermine her feelings of security in her body—there would be a good chance she will cover up next time she sees you or better yet, just avoid you at all cost.

What works for me is trying to see a beautiful woman as the work of a master artist. I know it sounds silly, but instead of immediately lusting after her (which was my norm) I try to see her as another one of God's beautiful creations.

Women rank among God's highest works of beauty in my mind. Just like a masterpiece painting, admire it for the work it is and the skill of the hand that created it.

I feel guilty about disliking this same particular stop because the woman is so slow to come out and get her food. I cant bring it to the door because there are big dogs and no tresspassing signs so I honk the horn.

That she is slow to come get the food is aggravating because Im using my day off, my gas and time to feed people and most are courteous about not making me wait forever.
They also know I have many meals to deliver and that they need to be hot.

Once in a while a slow person is no big deal, they may be in the bathroom or somthing...but half the time this able bodied middle aged woman takes her sweet time to come out to get the meal or doesnt even come out at all.

If people arent going to need a meal or will be absent they are supposed to call Meals so that we can take them off the route that day and avoid the trouble of trying to deliver if there isnt a reason to, but she never has cancelled to save us the trouble when not there.

Considering the fact that Ive never seen the woman I am supposably feeding a meal to (Eleanor), Im not sure the mother isnt cheating the system and just eating the free delivered hot meal herself.

unghhh.

I like to meet the people Im feeding.

PS: I think a better option rather than looking at them as a piece of filth is to see them through the eyes of Jesus as a lost soul.

Focus on the details of her eyes what color are they does she squint facial features and racial body language and what is going on thee. If you do that you lose focus on the rest just remember eyes!
