View Full Version : Officially Started Homeschooling Today!!!

After months of :pray and planning, we started homeschool our two kids (12-year-old and 9-year-old) who are still in school today!! Right now, we are doing U.S. history for a few weeks as a trial and they are going to stay in public school for a few more weeks. As long as all goes well, we will begin full time homeschooling by Spring Break!!! :yeah:yeah:yeah

Good luck to you in your homeschooling journey. Be prepared for it to be really challenging at times -- make sure you lean on the Lord for direction and strength and he WILL bless your ministry.

Thanks for the wonderful welcome!! I have been leaning on God during the past few months while praying for guidance on this and I have never felt more convicted to do something. Having homeschooled my oldest daughter (she is actually my step-daughter) during her 7th grade year when she was going through the worst time of her life after her bio mom died, I have some idea what I am getting myself into. However, when things got really hard, I knew that it was a temporary situation as she knew she wanted to go back to school in 8th grade. I have a very peaceful heart and soul about this as I trust that God would not send me down this path without Him being 100% behind me.

Welcome! My favorite homeschooling verse is 2Cor5:3.

Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God.
