So the original poster listed a group of people who were guilty of lust, anger (murder in Jesus's eyes), slander, substance abuse, and worshipping false idols. How many of us can raise our hands and say, "I have never done that."
If your entire life, from start to finish, was in front of the public's eye would it be so flawless?

As for Bush.........:rolleyes
I don't question Carter's profession of faith. But there are many who would question Bush's profession of faith, especially since he has gone against scripture on many occasions, especially but not only concerning Iraq.

Just my opinion, but I don't think using a "word" or "phrase" that may offend someone should be classified as falling from grace. I do see those like Britney Spears who is a mother of 2 young boys, doing who knows what til all hours of the night, and Paris and Nicole, OY, what can you say? That I would consider to be maybe classified as falling from grace. Some of these people are just :gaah

Excuse me, that was not my point, and I am sorry if that's how it came across. My point was that these people that are so idolized are having these very public falls. I was not saying that I'm perfect, I just noticed what seemed to me like a rapidfire of this kind of story.

Wow, wow, wow! This thread needs to be stopped. Full of gossip and things we shouldn't be talking about. People please think about what you are saying. The bible says that we are to be held accountable for every word we speak (that means write, too). Talking about others without them being there is gossip. Whether it is your pastor, ex-pastor, friend or celebrity. We do not know what goes on behind closed doors, we were not there and we do not know anyones heart for the Lord.
Someone needs to close this thread. Kathe

Folks, we aren't to call into question the profession of faith made by those around us. That's God's job.
While I understand that there are so many that have sinned in the public eye, I for one would be horrified to see my name on a list and have the sins I've committed all lined out for everyone to see. It is gossip. These folks are loved by God and need our prayers, not our scorn
