Is the Playstation 3 through with it's "bugginess"?
I heard that when it came out that many units had too be sent back for all kinds of different little bugs.
Now that the price is coming down, I'm wondering if they are doing that too increase sells even with "buggy" units on the shelf.
I am considering a PS3 for Christmas and wanted some good advice about whether to buy or what or when.
I've had a PS1 and I currently have a PS2, so any feedback would be great.

It's cheaper, but it still has no real exclusive games out right now, nor thru this holiday season. even their impending exclusive Metal Gear Solid 4 may wind up on the Xbox 360 according to Konami's own president, because of the low sales of the PS3 to date.
If you already have an Xbox 360, there's no reason to own a PS3 until Gran Turismo or Final Fantasy 13 hit next year. If you don't have one, then it's a better deal than it was.

A minimal amount of PS3's were sent back for repairs, the occasional anomaly that plagues all electronics. The hardware itself is the most reliable hardware of the Wii, 360, and the PS3, and is also the most refined and the most stable. I don't know where you heard that the PS3 had any bugs, you must be thinking about the 360.
I have a launch PS3, and have had no problems with it. It is very silent, is very nice (especially if you have an HD TV), and is well worth the money. If you buy one right now, you get 5 free blu-ray movies along with it.

The prices will drop substantially is you wait, as they do with every new generation of gaming system. I am sometimes impulsive myself with purchases, so I feel hypocritical in a way, but I am always late on the gaming systems, getting them when they reach their lowest price or close to it. PS3 will be under $300 at some point, I am sure, as more and more blue-ray players are produced and sold.
