IMO this should be a sticky so people can be aware.

(Moderator note: This IS a sticky in our Doctrine Forum--please review)

I can tell you that some of those mentioned for Nebraska at

http://www.willowcreek.com/wca_info/find_a_church/SearchResult.asp?Basic=1&Name=&State=NE&Country=

are seeker-sensitive and push other false teachings

Stonebridge Christian Church of Omaha and Trinity Church of Omaha

I know both have pushed the Shack book and are have pushed other false teachers

:tsk :tsk

Christ Community Church of Omaha and Brookside Church of Omaha are heavily associated with Bill Hybels

King of Kings Lutheran Church of Omaha and Westside Church of Omaha are both purpose-driven churches

Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church frequently has Jay West " healing services"

(Jay west is a water-carrier for folks like Todd Bentley and Patricia King and others like those 2

I really cant comment on the other Omaha area ones listed at:

http://www.willowcreek.com/wca_info/find_a_church/SearchResult.asp?Basic=1&Name=&State=NE&Country=

cause some are so-so okay

and some I havent really done much research on.

I think any church listed at

http://www.willowcreek.com/wca_info/find_a_church/ProfileSearch.asp

is a church I would be cautious about cause no church unless they are seeker-sensitive

or totally ignorant on the Seeker-sensitive agenda

would want to be associated with the Willow Creek Assocation

What? no "maybe" option.... :tsk

just teasing.

my only objection would be that it would be a 100 mile long list and could be hard to sort through.

How about a list of churches that are not seeker-sensitive?

Lighthouse Trails has a short list of Christians colleges that don't have contemplative spirituality in their curriculum (or elsewhere). If they listed those who are contemplatvie, it would be very long, like icebear said.

Well we wouldn't have to make a list we just would post the link in my original post so people can type in the city search tool on the website and find them that way.

If they know of a seeker friendly church that is not on the search tool then they can post it.

True I can see your point of view.

I would think that a list of non-seeker, non-emergent would be shorter, but we'll take anything!

Yes, but start it from here as you can search the states here.

My current church is NOT on the WCA list. :thumb

Sadly my former church is on the list and they are doing Hybels 'Just Walk Across the Room' as a church-wide SS study beginning this Sun. :tsk I'm sorry but I like my Bible study fellowship time to get deeper than the ankle-depth of Bill Hybels. Is it too much to ask to actually dive headfirst into the Word of God?

Yes, this would be good. I don't know how to make a sticky though.
