Ok, I did it.. well I should say we finally did it..

I gave in to a great temptation.. I had hoped my wife would help me resist the tempation but she didn't.. She actually egged me on..

So now I got this GREAT brand new TRUCK !!!!!! :yeah:yeah

Got a brand spanking new Toyota Tundra with 5.7L V8.. WOW the power, drives like a car, leather seats, got all them bells and whistles... :aha:aha

I'll post pictures as soon as I take some :)

I've been looking for a truck for almost 2 years :)
We had just paid the mini van off and I was honestly trying to go a year or two befor taking on a new car payment... but just couldn't resist something I've wanted for 2 years, and my wife was telling me I deserve to get a new truck.. My folks even said, I should go ahead and get one.. all that pressure.. sooo much pressure.. I just HAD to get a new TRUCK !!!!!

Ok.. I've grown to love my new truck that i've had for a week :yeah:yeah

Well at least you bought one made in America!

My '95 F150 Club cab was purchased a couple years ago, has a 302, 150k miles, manual trans, 4wd, rust, and was one I could afford. I got it just in time to haul gravel to fix our lane, haul materials for neighbors, and have the shakel mounts colapse. :shocked

Then the trans went :doh

Then the rear fuel tank leaked....

But It has been cheep to repair and soon I'll have a new truck :yeah

And of course it's a FORD....I miss my Ramcharger....:lol2

I'm glad God is gracious to all of us in providing needs and wants.

May you get much use, and satisfaction from your purchase.

Thanks.. I really stressed out over finaly buying one because I really wanted to go a while without the payments. BUTTTTTTT, things worked out.. 0% financing !!!!... if you replace the truck, I can highly recommend the new Tundras... I know I've only had mine a week, but I'm loving it.. Now I see why so many guys LOVE to have trucks ....

Yes, Gas prices makes one of those diesel VW Rabbit pickups look real good.

And try manuevering a standard pickup in one of todays parkinglots. I know they used a Yugo to mark the lines :gaah

O well, at least I get to pull people out of snowdrifts in the winter, and cross flooded roads in the summer. :thumb
And in the country they are required for feed, hay, mower implements, furniture...

Ahhh mannnn! I want one of those!

I just came home from visiting my family and was able to rent one of the tundras for a week. Man! What an awesome truck! I have an 05 Tundra and have wished for a while for more power and better brakes and Toyota really addressed those problems in this new Tundra. But... I will say I like the quality of my interior over the new ones. It feels kinda "plasticy" and cheap inside compared to my 05. Either way though...the power, brakes and ride do a great job of making up for the interior! I still want one...

In a year or two Dodge is coming out with a 400hp 5.9 Hemi for a stock engine. They are also coming out with a diesel for a 1/2 ton truck. I'm a Dodge man to the core (if you haven't figured it out yet). My next truck is going to be a 3/4 ton CTD (Cummings turbo diesel). They are a great all around truck. Very fast, better mpg than gas of the same size, and you can tow anything. But that's not going to be a long time. My truck still have a lot of life in it.

Again congrats and enjoy the "Toy".

Reminds me of the phrase about the '71 426 Hemi Cuda,

Passes everything but a gas station.

Maybe you can get a POL (gas) trailer with that truck, or have a fuel hemmit follow you :pound

Just kidding, I loved my Ramcharger. :thumb I bought the Ford because it was the only club cab I could afford. Used Diesels were over $15k and mileage didn't matter. Also I couldn't find a decent Dodge Pre-92 or when ever the new body came out. Seems the trans were blowing on all of the new Dodges.

I got a Ford F150 about 6 months ago in some sort of unspoken deal with my wife. She wanted a camper, but that requires a truck to pull it, so she talked me into test driving it. It saved me from a big accident just in front of me on an icy road, and decided it must be sign for me to have it.
