On the old board we were not allowed to talk about conspiracy theories, but that appears to be what the Tin Foil Shed is about. But I just wanted to double check before I start any wacky theories over there.

I would use common sense for posting conspiracies
Check your sources
Watch out for liberal left wing Anti-American threads determined to topple our moral structure.
Ask yourself if it's a post Chavez, Tim Robbins, or Iran would approve of because you might find yourself having to defend it.
Birds of a feather post together.

Soooo, threads like the US government engineered 9-11 to justify a war are OK?
Does anything go?
My only concern about conspiracies is they will be associated with RR...

Fortunately, most sites are independant of RR and would exist even if RR didn't. Also of all the conspiracy sites I've ever read, I've not read one that was endorsed by nor mentioned RR.
It's real easy just to not click on a link if you dont like what it has to say. I do it everyday.

If it leads people to the truth, yes, and armed with the truth, people can make the best decisions for their families AND their country.
How good are decisions made using anything less than the truth? When we base our decisions on lies, can the outcome ever be good?
My only concern about conspiracies is they will be associated with RR...
The world is full of 'conspiracies', that is not even open for debate. What we must do, is differenciate between the 'conspiracy theories' and 'conspiracy facts' The more you dig, the more you find out that what you see on the nightly news is in the 'theory' category and we are left to search out the 'facts/truth', all the while being the ones labeled the 'kooks'.
I would rather know the truth, or at least as close as we can get to it than to just poo-poo everything so that Christians don't look kooky.
Christians are supposed to search for the truth, no matter where it leads.
When we bury our heads because what we may find out is just too unbelievable or scary, what kind of witness does that make with the unbelieving world? I know more non-believers that are way more informed about what's REALLY going on in the world than most Christians. How can they trust us with the 'truth' of the Bible and the Gospel when we can't even see through the nightly news propaganda?
Nobody that I know really relishes the idea of spending most of their free time trying to seperate the truth from the lies. Life could be better spent if we didn't have to worry about that.
I think it's a Christians duty to strive to know the truth, using discernment, no matter where it leads, anything less is what hurts our witness.

I was on a feminist message board where some members thought many Christians in America are gullible because they believe everything they are told by politicians who claim to be conservative. I was surprised how many of them seemed to know more about what’s going on in the world than many professing Christians. The New World Order many Christians claim will not touch America is the New World Order many groups of people in America and around the globe support to justify their sins.

I wonder why it seems that the words, 'Christian' and 'conspiracy' are so hard to marry.
Most people are or believe in one OR the the other, but not both. I go to message boards where you can post ANYTHING you want to about conspiracies but just don't mention God, and then there are some that are just the opposite.
The Christian has it written for him/her right in the pages of the Bible, yet they still dismiss it,
Psa 2:1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
Psa 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
Psa 2:3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
Psa 2:4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
If anything, The Christian should be the most informed person/group on the planet.
Ah.............but our witness.:hehee

Ok, so false accusations against our bretheren are acceptable as long as they are on the conspiracy forum?
There is NO evidence that world leaders worship satan or practice human sacrifice, but RR is now OK with world leaders being accused of such heious acts (as in the Bohemian Grove thread currently up).
--whats the difference between accusing a sitting president of satanic worship, and naming the AC?
How is one acceptable and the other not?
The problem with conspiracies is no one can ever prove or disprove them!
They are esentially groundless accusations.
In response to my question about the devious LIE that is the 911 conspiracy i am told this:
If it leads people to the truth, yes, and armed with the truth, people can make the best decisions for their families AND their country.
If there is NO evidence, there is NO proof! And again, a Christian man (President Bush) is falsely accused of a heinous act (the murder of 3000+ innocent lives).
If it is now acceptable to falsely accuse President Bush of mass murder for political ends, is it ok to question his salvation?
Frankly, I think a false accusation like this is the same as questioning his salvation.
These are reasons why a Christian board ought to think twice about allowing open conspiracy threads.
Larry, there is NO truth to expose.
Accusation will never replace evidence. Conspiracies will never present evidence.
My fear is that the unsaved will dismiss the message of RR because they will compare Biblical prophesy with baseless (and nutty) conspiracies: both presented side by side on RR.
This board is supposed to have a focus: the TRUTH of Christ, and His soon return.
I can't see how lying conspiracies aid that focus.
