Not Perfect, But Forgiven

Mods----feel free to move.

Last night I watched about 20 minutes of Jack Van Impe and noticed how he has gone off the deep-end. Is it just me, or has anyone else been alarmed at his dillusional messages. He has this new book out called "2012", and just the title is enough to throw new converts (or those hungry for God) off the path of biblical truth. Indeed, Satan is using these televised programs to confuse and deceive.

The man's gone mad, dotty as you please. Yes, he has memorized the entire scriptures, but has been driven absolutely insane. His date setting trend is quite disturbing, and it's horrendous to see someone so familiarized with the scripture lose it like that. I pray that Jesus heals him.:pray

To point out Jack Van Impe's wrongdoings is fine. That's what RR is for. I haven't seen the show in years.

But I am dissappointed to read posts that would insult these nice women, Rexella and Mrs. Bush. It's not christain and it lowers the integrity of this website.

I agree. I don't think we should compare people to cocker spaniels, for example. I can't see Jesus doing that.

When he started citing Catholic doctrine in prophecy he lost me. :tsk

Me too. I grew up listening to him, but I too have noticed that he is giving alot of creedence to the pope and catholic doctrine. I pretty much just stick with Hal Lindsey these days...

You draw the line between "commenting" or "saying impressions" on someone’s character, and criticizing their facial features, which crosses the line. The latter of which was expressed in a demeaning manner, falls into the category of "gossip". Just look at the results of a couple of "comments" or stated "impressions"! Great Christian Witness, don’t ya think! :ohno You have posts of your fellow Believers, grateful that their faces cant be seen! It really isn’t necessary, unless that is, you are prone to be "gossipy" :idunno Is there no Holy Spirit conviction here? Both women are Sisters in Christ, in that light, how do the supposed "comments" or stated "impressions" sound to Christ?

right...I wasnt commenting on her accomplishments or character - which I wish I didnt have to explain. I was commenting on her seeming drugged out and very stepford-ish on TV....

Its funny sometimes here - if the converstaion is about Obama I have really seen some disgusting comments( which I dont think mine really were?) here and so the difference is I suppose if you have a soft spot in your heart for them.

No, I believe your not a liberal, and I could understand why you might get that impression. She is a traditional woman in the sense, that she leaves the business of the country to her husband. But I have seen many interviews with her, and she actually is a fire brand. Unlike previous First Ladies, she wasn’t constantly running to the press for attention. She did some wonderful things as a First Lady, with Burma, Africa and Afghanistan just to name a couple off the top of my head. She and her husband came through here in 2000, and campaigned with my Brother-in-law and my Sis. She is quite intelligent, and has a great sense of humor :nod

I watched the same show, and he was talking about what other poeple have said about 2012. His video and book is to show them for what they are as false. I like Jack, but I do think he get's a little off the track once in a while. But so do I and so do you. I think Christians and our behavior towards one another is another tool that Satan uses to confuse and deceive.:hat

I don't believe what I am reading here, these people are sisters and brothers in Christ. We can disagree with what they are teaching and preaching . but to talk about their looks and discredit them because of their looks make me a little upset reading it.
