I sent him and my 2 Senators e-mails complaining about the pork bill. Unfortunately they are all Dems.

My view of his comments and attitude last night is not that of some immature brat, but something much worse. I get the feeling he is very narcissistic and a dictator in the making. I may just be paranoid with everything that has gone on, but I think Obama is a very sinister person.
Sadly, I agree with you. When he was saying, "This is not what the US voted for," I think he was really saying, "Hey, guys..I WON! Don't you know who I am?"
I'd also be interested to know what he thinks of his dropping approval ratings and the low support the American people have for this bill. Bet that really burns him up!

We just witnessed his first public temper tantrum. Imagine what's being said behind closed doors and on his bat phone.
I agree totally that we ain't seen nuthin yet:doh I was FURIOUS at the attack mode of his speech, and by the scare tactics he used in it. I believe I've emailed my Senators every day this week, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day! :pound Just thought of something RFK, Jr said about hog farms being more dangerous to the environment and causing global warming than ALL the vehicles, plants, refineries, etc in the entire world:doh This pork-laden bill must be really, really dangerous for global warming, if that's the case. What's sad is that he believes it:faint Funny thing is he didn't mention the wild animals. Guess he didn't want to make PETA mad:rotfl Sorry for getting off topic, but just HAD to throw that in, for some comic relief:lol2

As I live in Australia I have no idea what the full "stimulus package" consists of, but at least here out Government is giving money to the people to keep the economy ticking along.
Before Christmas $1000 per child was given out to families, now $950 to workers who earn up to $80000 a year, $650 to $90000, $300 to $100000, and 0 over that.
The US Government just seems to be giving it out to Banking elites, with no accountability attached to it, unbelievably irresponsible to say the least.
Unfortunately though, most central banks like Your Federal reserve and the Aussie Reserve bank of Australia are owned Privately and are independent of the Governments.
There is a very good DVD series called "the money masters" that accurately explains how we are in this current mess, and goes in depth through the history of money.
Before 1913 Your money was issued by the treasury, at no debt to the people, same here in Australia. When the Governments were bribed, blackmailed, conned etc, into voting in a privately run central bank, then all money issued from that moment was issued at a debt to the nation (people), which coincided with the introduction of income tax.

Here's an idea. When my husband and I find ourselves in a financial crunch, for whatever reasons, we don't try to spend our way out of it. We look at our spending and we start prioritizing. We believe we need to continue tithing, we have to pay our debts and we need food and other things. We don't need to eat dinner out, I can get by without that new pair of shoes, we can entertain ourselves without going to the movies or spending a lot of cash elsewhere. In short, we give back to the Lord, pay our bills and do without some luxuries and nonessentials. My guess is that y'all do the same. So, if we can do that, why shouldn't we expect those who were elected to represent us to do the same with our tax money?
Sorry Jadeeyes, this makes too much sence for our new king and his ilk.
The poor baby H. Obama is having his first hissy fit as the Pres.
He needs a good spanking and I am more then willing to do it.

Obama is addressing the senators and is once again growing very impatient with the process of passing the stimulus package. Make no mistake, this stimulus package is about locking in his re-election.

"Impatient" is a correct word for it. Since he's so inexperienced, he doesn't know how to make things work other than make a demand and belittle the GOP rather than find ways to help work it through. This guy has no idea what he's doing. So monday he's going to try to convince the voters that he's right on this even though he knows his approval rating has dropped because of it. He should be working it out with congress; the repubs are really angry because Bama has made no effort.

He's planning on traveling to a couple of town hall meetings to support this stimulus package. :tsk
