I'm sorry folks, I hate to say this but Obama is right. There is insufficeint support for our transition to digital. As a matter of fact,

I believe we should all get 52 inch flat screen TV's for our trouble! That would just about solve our problems! :dohI should have run for president! :hat

My DH, who is a professional computer/electronics "geek", and a close friend who is retired from doing some pretty secret security stuff for the army, both say that with all-digital service, the technology could easily be set up for someone to have 24/7 access into our homes. The ex-army man says it could be easily used for eavesdropping, etc.

Anyone here think that good ol' BO and our soon-to-be socialist government might like to have such access? :tsk Think about it - why else would this be mandated by the government? Since when do they care about the "quality of our T.V. signal" ? The only logical explanation is that something else is on their agenda. :panic Not trying to be "tin-hattish" here, but just sayin'................

It could easily be done, but if some company did it and it was found, there would be a huge stink.

If that's the case I guess we wouldn't be wanting our 52" flat screens :ohno *sigh*

That's exactly what I said. He's got nothing to say about Israel but he cares about our TV watching. I guess he wants to make sure we can all see those big ears so clearly.

:pound:poundWhat you do is sneek over to your neighbor's house when they're out and run a inconspicuous line over to your place.

I have been also considered this point of view for quite sometime. Did they mandate everyone to go out and get color TV when they started broadcasting in color?

Something is up, and its about control... it always is.

Yep! I don't trust this guy at all! Something is very fishy here!
