To tell you the truth I dont think age has anything to do with this at all. I've only been living 13 years. I fail to see what age has to do with what Freemasonry is at all.

notes,
i think that the poster meant that someone's age is usually an indication of their experience, knowledge, perspective, widsom, etc.
I for one can attest to the fact that when I was younger I *thought* I had all of those things, when in fact I did not.
Of course, there are plenty of younger people who are extremely mature and discerning, sometimes moreso than their 'aged' counterparts. This is usually an exception to the rule, though.
The truth is that there is always someone more informed, wise, knowledgable, discerning and mature than we are...its always good for everyone to keep that in mind.

I have relatives that are high up in this. They have founded churches and have masonic symbols all through the church. My father inlaw passed away very suddenly. He was a mason all though not active. we had planned a traditional funeral. the family that showed up that were active masons took over and insisted he have a masonic funeral. what struck me was not the man of God had the last word but the masons. this is what i was told. i thought peculiar. got to the grave side and my wife was shocked to see all of the men in her family were masons and she did not know about it. i asked how do you get involved and i recieved a petition and begain to read on it. decided it was not for me. never turned the petition in.
my father inlaw before he passed away had established a church. we met in a lodge. so when i thought of handing my petition in i thought about this altar. how i could share an altar with another god? further more Jesus is the Light of this world and none other.

No scripture backs up being a mason. Freema
sonry is not a Christian organization. But just because it is not Christian doesn't mean it's demonic. It's a brotherhood. A fraternity if you will.
calling freemasonry a fraternity is totally false.. Freemasonry is not a Christian organization yet they talk about God and what not... How could someone who is not Christian claim to know about God and a higher poweR?
and the bible says do not call unbelievers brothers..

Well...I think it's pretty obvious that age might have something to do with it when 2 people are talking about research and one is older and perhaps has done more research than the younger one. Stands to reason imo that since one has been living 27 more years than the other one and was in college when the younger was not even born yet that perhaps he might just know a bit more? I know that the things I thought I knew better than my parents when I was a teen, I have come to find out that they were right and I wrong. We really must give a bit of respect to our elders in some cases in that they might know what they are talking about. The younger generation is smarter than some adults no doubt when it comes to new technology and street smarts, etc. but when speaking of history I don't think so....jmho
I'm not sure, but Age is not that much of a factor!!
And Just being older does not mean that give you longer time to study something and be well read up on it, than some one who is yoinger than you
History..Nah there are some grown up, that no next to nothing about History adn have to rely on their younger geenration to "put Them up On Game"

How horribly sad our Lord Jesus must be over misinformation! His people are destroyed for their lack of knowledge!!!
We overcame by the BLOOD of the Lamb.....There is only ONE way to Father God! and that is through Jesus. (those aren't my words, they're HIS). There are only two kingdoms, one from above, one from below. The devil showed Jesus all future kingdoms of this realm and offered them to HIM, if HE would only bow down....Jesus HIMSELF said HE was not from here...HE was and is and is to come! IF it were possible even the very elect would be decieved!

Let me guess. You are fairly young right? :lol2
Seriously though...you're right to a large extent. I was just raised to "respect my elders." and I guess perhaps brainwashed by my dad telling me " We are much older than you, have lived longer, therefore we know a little bit more than you." :) It IS obvious that an older person would most likely have more experiences to draw from, have probably traveled more, and understand human nature a bit more. Book smarts is maybe a different thing. We can learn about the great depression but we need to respect the knowledge of those who've actually lived through it. On the other hand, younger people fresh out of school probably know way more about certain subjects because it is fresh in their mind. Also more about technology and modern sciences. So it does balance out in general.

..Well they say Experience comes with Age..but what that "age" means is entirely different..
Arguably some grown ups, know a whole lot of stuff, and i#'m not denying that..
but some younger generation, are well read despite the young age...
Yes tech is readily available!
Books stores, booklets, lectures, seminars,Information is out there, which was not back then for the aforementioned "older generation", thus the reason they probably took longer learning..lol..:lol2:lol2
However i know what you are saying, cuz kids look up to grown folks for information and understanding, like a living breathing walking encyclopedia..
i know i bug my Folks for Information...

I once read a christian book that told all about the Masons & how they used satanic rituals, & it showed pictures of the satanic symbols they use. Can't remember the name of the book, but it's a secret society, & very dangerous. And it's scary that so many of our presidents belonged to it. The Bible warns about things that are done in secrecy.
And how in the last days there will be many false prophets, so we need to be careful.
