I watch occasionally. I used to watch every day but that was 10-12 years ago. She USED to give the Glory to God. She has gotten off track. And she is leading thousands. This makes me cry in shame and makes me praise Jesus Christ all the more.

The Point is .......WHAT GOD? I knew it wasn't Jesus Christ way back when she was beginning. This is how many get pulled in and deceived because they say the word "GOD".. The question must always be "WHAT GOD?"

Good point. For instance, you'll hear many people from India talk about God...but most people from India are Hindu which is pantheistic, so one must wonder, of which God are they speaking? Certainly not the God of Abraham, the God of Jacob, the God of Moses....

And this certainly only scrapes the top of the iceberg, considering even those in the western christian religion throw around the word 'god' without knowing of WHOM they speak. the god they talk about is the idol of the true God they have formed in their mind. The God that is okay with their sin, because they are generally 'good people' and will go to heaven because they are 'good'...or because they belong to a certain denomination, etc. This is no more the true God than any 'god' that may be invoked by the likes of oprah.

I thought I remember her talking about God and the Bible . I guess that doesn't mean much though. I didn't realize that her god is herself. isn't that what scientology is?

Lots of people talk about God and the bible...maybe they only read the cliff's notes version, and pick and choose which attributes of God to believe...

we need to be careful not to be deceived just because someone knows the right words to use (God, Bible, Lord, blessings, etc)...many 'spiritual' people use the right language, but they're singing the wrong song, so to speak.

Yes, you know exactly where you are with Jesus.

I met a Church of Scotland Minister once who seemed uncomfortable speaking about Jesus, but was OK speaking about God. I met him when I dealt with the arrangements for my Aunt's funeral. Not long after, he ran away with another man's wife. What I could not understand was why someone who was uncomfortable with Jesus became a Minister in the first place! Of course, it could just have been that he was already having an affair with this woman and it was his sin that made him uncomfortable when I mentioned Jesus.

Yes, mentioning Jesus is a good way of finding out where people stand.

Oprah Winfrey will be letting out all the stops on her XM Satellite Radio program this coming year. Beginning January 1, 2008, “Oprah & Friends” (http://www2.oprah.com/xm/xm_landing.jhtml) will offer a year-long course on the New Age teachings of A Course in Miracles. (http://marianne.com/book/index.htm)1 A lesson a day throughout the year will completely cover the 365 lessons from the Course in Miracles “Workbook.”

Heads up all. Our work is not done yet.

“There is no sin. . . "
A “slain Christ has no meaning.”
“The journey to the cross should be the last ‘useless journey.
“Do not make the pathetic error of ‘clinging to the old rugged cross.’
“The Name of Jesus Christ as such is but a symbol... It is a symbol that is safely used as a replacement for the many names of all the gods to which you pray.”13
“God is in everything I see.”14
“The recognition of God is the recognition of yourself.”15
“The oneness of the Creator and the creation is your wholeness, your sanity and your limitless power.”16
“The Atonement is the final lesson he [man] need learn, for it teaches him that, never having sinned, he has no need of salvation.”17This woman had to be dropped on her head as a child.
