View Full Version : The New Age Gospel of Oprah is Heresy

Actually, I feel certain people in this world are jealous of God, because they are jealous of Jesus Christ. I would imagine the spirit of the antichrist at work involves that jealousy, denying that Jesus Christ came in the flesh, and denying who He is.
There are a lot of people on this earth, that don't know the Lord, or have the Holy Spirit, and think in terms of their own power and influence. They don't see Jesus Christ for who He is (the Son of God, the revelation of God, the image of the invisible God), and they see Him as an "influential teacher" to compete with on the stage of history. I'm not sure, but it looks like the "anti-christ" will likely have that type of attitude towards Jesus.
The Bible shows God has a righteous jealousy for His own. For God to be eternal, put the sun in place, and stars, and planets, and entire Universe, why would He be jealous of any small human being? I was looking at a picture awhile back of two men fly-fishing in a stream. It was amazing how small and tiny they were in the picture compared to the flowing stream, the large boulders, and the towering firs lining the stream. Yet, small as they (we) are, the Bible shows God created man in His image and likeness, as the "crowing glory" of His creation, placing them over all on this earth, and allowing them to have the knowlege of good and evil.
Amen.

While working in the yard, I overheard a 12 y/o say, "My hero is Oprah!" Just what Satan ordered. She uses her $ to give weight to her words. I am so sorry that many are mislead by Oprah-theology.:ohno

Being home now full time for a couple of months after having not been home to watch daytime tv for ions, I turned on Oprah and was quite taken aback
to see how she has evolved over the years. I can remember many shows with her saying that "things" don't make you happy. Yet she on practically every single show I have seen thus far has a corporate sponsor or some
sponser that gives prizes away to the audience. And the audience gets worked up into a frenzy...it's rather bizzare. I am all for the message that we don't need things to be happy. But now you watch and you see a mixed message and it's all very hyped up...she likes to think of herself as
being very unmaterial but spiritual....I may write her and issue her a challenge to take up a year of poverty and go serve overseas with cameras rolling. It's one thing to say those things while your ears are dripping with diamonds but it's entirely another to tell others like you are some authority figure how to live when you are not doing this yourself. I find her to be very hypocritical. She is really pushing her New Age views on others now and I think it's important to acknowledge that people in the mainstream are treating this like a church...she has them repeating phrases and you would think you were listening to a gospel message. Only there is no promise of eternal life...and it is all "me" centered in the end. Even the "Big Give" is
being televised so all can see their good works and who can give the most.
In the end, it's all about receiving attention like the reality shows. It is actually fullfilling prophecy because they have itchy ears and would believe a lie....apostacy is growing by leaps and bounds. When the economy crashes someday, where will these people's beliefs be then?

You got that right. I'm afraid Oprah has been transformed by money and power and it changed who she used to be. It's a shame. Because of her status and position I do believe she plays a big part in prophecy so I consider her a false prophet in the end times.

Is it my imagination or has Oprah's appearence changed? I remember her from her days at WJZ in Baltimore (my original hometown). Even a few years ago I considered her to be a beautiful woman but when I recently tuned in after not watching for a year or two, I could not believe how she has changed. I didn't even recognize her!!! Is this a case of the inner self showing through to to the outer appearence or am I just seeing things? (I have had this same thing happen to me before when I knew people who got into witchcraft and other evil cults after I'd known them a few years. It appeared as if a dark cloud covered their faces and their eyes were hollow.)
I remember her from her early days also. Her eyes were alive. Now I also see a darkness and deadness in them, markedly so.
A bit OT, but I think her fabulous wealth has made some think that the *universe is rewarding her* for all these *insights* she has about *spirituality, personal growth* and all the other New Age heresy and abominations.
Tragic, but until and unless she repents, imo she has taken on the added role of a False Prophet and is leading untold numbers into hell.

Talking about money: Jesus Christ never was paid a penny for all He did, and had no place to lay His head (Matthew 8:20). He is the Son of God. He spoke the Gospel, the truth, and was eventually led to Calvary, shamed and humiliated, and died on a cross for other people's sins. Yet, we have people in this world that are jealous of Him, seeing Him as an "influential person" to compete with in history. Yet, each of these people are sinners, and aren't willing to die on a cross for others (nor would be a worthy sacrifice, if they tried). And, they make hefty funds in their bank accounts saying what many, many ears want to hear.
It comes down to the fact that there is only one true, authentic "Good Shepherd" for the souls of man, and His name is Jesus Christ (John 10). All others are theives and robbers. The term "worthless shepherd" and "foolish shepherd" are found in books such as Zechariah 11, and the phrase "shepherds who only feed themselves" is found in Jude. For all those who don't receive the love of the truth (the Gospel) to be saved, a powerful delusion will blind minds/hearts with the work of the anti-Christ, as seen in the prophecy in 2 Thessalonians 2. Even those who reject the Son of God, and His Word, become involved in the "mystery of iniquity", and fulfill His Word, in His sovereign plan. God will not be mocked.
