The New Earth is total garbage. If you go to Oprah's website, you can see the videos of her discussion with the author and book club members. The meditate at the beginning of each session so that they can enter a different level of consciousness in order to discuss the book (they are very up front about this). Also, if you read some of the "study guide" they tell you how to meditate on your own and they say if you don't understand something in the book it may be because you have not meditated and entered into another realm of consciousness!!!:panic
The even have an article on how to assimilate these beliefs into your own religious worldview!!!

Oh dear Lord! Can anyone else see how dangerous Oprah has become to her millions of followers? This teaching is not biblical, and will lead people to the coming of the one world religion. Oprah has become one of the most powerful women in the world.. she is very much loved wherever she goes, people see her do "good works", yet this teaching will lead people right to hell. All we can do is to pray that she comes back to her roots, and that Jesus will become real to her. This is so sad.

While researching this, one thing that got me was when she said that Christ was not God. And that we all are God's. Well she didn't say it, but she agreed with Eckhart when he did.

Eckhart says, "Be Still and Know that I am God.".

When he said 'I', he was referring to himself.

It's a repackaged and new form of Gnosticism. It's the oldest sin in the book. It's the same as the serpent saying, "Did God really say........."

Stay away from Oprah. Warn your friends. By her own admission, and what we know of the Word of God - Oprah is not a Christian.

It was Oprah's support for Obama that alerted me to him. So far, everything else I have come across about him confirms my initial fears. Oprah is leading millions of people on the broad way to Hell!
