I have watched maybe two or three Oprah shows since she's been on the air. I just have such a negative reaction in my spirit. She is misled, but we should (meaning I should) pray for her. My sister watches her every day, and that's how we've ended up going to a New Age conference in our city in October that apparently Oprah advertised. (Long story in another post, but I'm going with the protection of prayer to "help" my sister, a nominal Christian). Wheeee.....

When we were first married neither my wife nor I were strong Christians. Sad to say we mainly gave lip service to the Lord. It has only been in the last year that I have seen the error of my life—but my wife has not been willing to see how unsaved our lives had been. She is still likely to allow our sons to watch stuff like this Oprah; or allow them to read books like Harry Potter. It has been very frustrating to try and keep satan out of our lives while she seems to want to invite him back in.

You know what? I'll be sure to let my husband know that you are facing a very similar situation that he once had to deal with, and we will keep your family in our prayers. :nod :hug

I worry about my mom watching her......she is just NOW starting to come around, and I see a "light bulb" going off with her lately. She has a Catholic background......and used to be very dependent on Man and Religion.

Lately, she watches Oprah, and still thinks Oprah is a "good person" and will go to heaven.:ohno Her argument is ...."look at all she does for Humanity".

My response: We are not saved by works. ONLY by GRACE through FAITH in the LORD Jesus Christ. I told her Oprah does not acknowledge Jesus Christ as the ONLY WAY. In fact, she ....becomes offended at claiming Jesus is the only way.....:heh

Sad that Satan is using people like Oprah to get them confused and derailed. :gaah

I told her about the "Secret" the other day.....Thank Goodness ..she must have missed the shows talking about them, b/c she seemed liked she did not know what I was talking about. :scratch

the same clip??? In any case, it's a good example of what I think the first clip was showing. Oprah is a rich fat cat with too much money and money is her god just as it is the god to Joyce Meyer and the other phoney-baloney gurus in this world, most of whom pay lip service of some sort to "god" or "jesus" as Oprah and Joyce Meyer do.
