Comcast

I have internet cable right now though Comcast and it is pretty fast. But it is so expensive. Anyone know of anything that is just as fast but not so expensive? Dial up is way too slow.

ours is through comcast too. I do know that bellsouth once had DSL lite for about $20 a month

DSL is probably your only median alternative, but it isnt available in as many places as Cable.

Sadly, we are stuck with Comcast too because I have been happy with the speed and reliability. I don't like Comcast, as they totally rip people off because they have no competition, so I just grin and bear it. What I dislike the most is that I have to pay more because I don't want there TV service as well. That is just cheap. They do give promotional rates from time to time, so that's good.

We have Comcast, and it is intermittent all the time. We lose internet, and it's really slow, but when we call and they come it is working fine.

Here, Verizon also has cable internet but it's expensive and you have to have phone, etc. with them as well.
