Yeah, probably over in southeastern AZ, where Tucson is located. Can my fellow Arizonans verify that for me please? :scratch Thank you.
No not Tucson, it came from the east of Phoenix into Phoenix.

I lived in Phoenix from 2000-2004 and witnessed several dust storms. They stink, and they really burn your eyes. No matter how tightly your home is sealed, it still gets in. The thing about Arizona is, you get that same dust every single day, not just in a dust storm. If you have patio furniture outside and you hose it down one day to use it, the next day you'll have a new layer of brown dust on it. It's on everything, every day. Also, the winds in Arizona are way stronger than any hurricane I've been in here in Florida. There were so many reasons why I moved from Arizona, and the dust was near the top of the list.

A funny side note (though not so funny at the time): One particularly severe dust storm came through in 2003 that turned my pool water solid dark green. I put my hand in it and couldn't see it. Very distressing. Took lots of time and chlorine to clear that up, but it was never the same again.
