when does it become acceptable for a 'christian' to break God's law and lead others to hell?
I don't have an answer to whether the defacing of the billboard was more or less right than the erecting of it in the first place. I can see the point of saying that the vigilante who scrawled lies on it was wrong. But no more wrong than the posers who put it up in the first place.

You know, it will not be long before we, the true church, is removed from the world, as well as the 'restrainer'. There will be no remaining christians on that specific day to rebuke nor shed light upon darkness. Breaking the law when it conflicts with God's word, such as taking the mark when the antichrist's government say, "do it or die", is permissible. Spray painting that sign was vandalism, pure and simple, a misdemeanor, a petty crime. Telling the many lost and confused homosexuals that drive by those signs that Christ has no problem with their sin, and that He will gladly let them into the Kingdom, is blasphemy and a lie. Unfortunately, they will not realize this until they die and have no way to 'undo' things. So, if going against the law, legalism and political correctness, may spare a few souls from eternal torment, I, personally have no problem with that. I have no problem facing the Son of Man with spray paint on my hands...

Comparing the two I would agree - twisting the Word and leading others to do the same is worse than vandalism.
I was commenting on the act of vandalism in and of itself.

well, hypocritical as it may be, i agree that vandalism for the sake of vandalism is wrong, too.

Two local billboards that are part of a broad ad campaign aimed at showing Biblical support for homosexuality were hit over the weekend by spray-paint-wielding vandals.
Anyone want to comment on the verses their itching ears somehow use to support homosexuality?
The Roman Centurion was gay?
Puhleeze.
We can all agree that both offending parties have sinned! God does not differentiate between them. Sin is sin! The billboard represent those who are truly lost and who are on the road to giving up there salvation for the love of there sin nature. That sin nature can also be man and a woman engaged in a heterosexual relationship outside of marriage. In God’s eyes they are the same. The sin nature could be pornography, selfishness, pride, arrogance, etc. The person or persons with the paint can represent those who are Self-righteous, overly judgmental, arrogant in there belief showing lack of humility. All we can do is point to the Word of God with as much humility as possible praying we can reach those who God has chosen before it is to late.:pray

No flames from me - even though I think it was wrong... it was certainly vandalism with more reason than just for the sake of vandalism.

funny.. I'm sitting here with red spray paint on my hands.. seriously!!! LOL.. I just spray painted an old wheelbarrow.
I'd probably have this paint on my hands before the Lord also. :nod
I'd also knowing it was vandalism would have a hard time asking forgiveness for it.. and would I?? ... hmm..
How do we look at God when He decides to take a life? (ex: God will not be mocked)
Murder? Righteous?.. thoughts.. God is God, He does not sin, so....???

Right Harley, that's the point I was trying to make. Vandalism, typically, is one or more persons defacing or destroying someone else's property for a laugh or out of spite. In this case, a 'church' representing the Lord is publicly displaying a sign that lies about God's word, misleading many who are seeking justification for a lifestyle that inwardly they know is wrong. To me, this makes it a spiritual matter, not a worldly matter. In many third world countries there are thousands of christians that are tortured and killed each year because they profess the name of Christ as their Lord. In each of these countries, it is 'against the law' to speak the name of Jesus, but they do it anyway. I understand we must obey the law of the land, but as a child of Christ, I cannot idly and passively sit by as the Lord is mocked or blasphemed.
