Just had to share. Born early this morning (like starting at 4:30 AM!) I'm beat, but it was worth it. There are 10 total (one was born dead--not sure why, but it happens).
Anyway, this is 7 of them, 3 others were napping up between Mom's front legs.

Yeah, I'm a little punchy. Why would anyone want a stinky puppy?? :heh
This is the first litter I've whelped since we moved to FL. I was kind of hoping for a nice small litter (6 or 7) since our place here is so small. Oh well....the next 2 months will be fun! :twitch:hehee

No, I try to rotate them in when I have a litter this big (once had 11 years ago). I weigh them every day and ones that are not keeping up with everyone else weightwise, I take the other puppies away for a bit and let those littler ones have a shot at uninterrupted faucet time. I don't like to suppliment if I can help it, altho I have a little one that was not nursing at all, so I did tube feed him this afternoon. I'm not sure he will make it, but I have mixed feelings about helping too much with a weak puppy. In my experience, ones that need alot of extra help usually have something wrong and they don't grow up anyway, and it's heart breaking.

Awwwwwww too cute. Hubby said no more posting pictures of puppies because it makes me want to get one.

Aww, Goldens are so sweet and obedient. My brother and Sister in law have two! Beautiful dogs.
