Years ago Jim Spillman wrote a pamphlet on Israel finding oil. It was in conjunction with the prophecy by Jacob over Joseph on "blessings of the deep that couches beneath."(Gen 49:25) It was an interesting viewpoint.

With all this talk about Israel and Iran possibly going to war with us having Isarael's back (hopefully) I have a question.

Could this the Gog-Magog war or is that different? And doesn't God intervene on the attack on Israel and destroy the invading army?

Someone please help:heythere And if possible could you jsut give me a personal answer and not an article?

I'm no scholar, just trying to learn as we all are, but I would recommend reading and studying Ezekiel 38 and 39. If it is Gog/magog it will not just be Iran, it will also be some part or all of Russia, Turkey, a couple other middle eastern provinces and even ethopia from what I remember off the top of my head. God will turn those armies or they weapons away supernaturally so Israel and all the world will know He is God.

Best I can do without my bible in front of me.

Best thing you can do imo, is read the Word, ask God for understanding and then check with others you respect for different views/opinions etc.

Im sure someone more knowledgable than myself will answer shortly. :)

It could start as a regional conflict. I know Damascus will be a ruinous heap somewhereon there. I need to know if this is b4 or after Gog/magog. But all signs pointing to a nasty conflict "becoming" Gog/Magog without a doubt. Israel attacking would probably infuriate MANY countries to the point of retaliation towards Israel. But yes God himself will supernaturally defeat the invading forces that kicks off the rapture, the 7year tribulation, and all that leads to Armegeddon...
Hopefully someone that knows more than I can add some details, Im not comfortable posting cause I simplu dont know.

The short answer is that I believe there will be a pre-Gog/Magog War between Israel and her immediate neighbors (Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, West Bank, Gaza), because these countries are not part of the Gog/Magog War, so I believe they will be neutralized first. This could be the result of a pre-emptive strike on Iran, if Iran goes through it's proxy Hezbollah to retaliate.

I am watching for Jordan to possibly be overthrown as the current monarchy is friendly to Israel, yet in scripture they appear to be the agressor that forms the confederation against Israel in the pre-Gog/Magog War.

I too believe this is the event that paves the way and sets the stage for the "Time of Jacob's trouble" bringing about the alliance of Gog Magog, and the world allowing it to happen as the attack against Iran and others may lead to a very ugly backlash.

I don;t think Iran will be dealt a serious enough blow to set them back, as much as stir up a hornets nest.

I believe that it will be very ugly though, and many people will die.

I believe it will be such a shock to the world, and with the preparation of the world in the political correct realm of looking at things, both Israel and the U.S. may become pariahs.

We have embarked on a journey that has taken us to a point-of-no-return.

This past year has been a rather "quiet" type of birth pang, perhaps like transition stage.

Their are a bunch of wars coming up here.
The battle of Armageddon will be all the forces including Syria (Iran) so Iran has to make it threw all of this somehow.
but the one that happens first or next may not even be of prophetic significance

I think maybe this one thats coming may be the one that finally set's Israel all alone against all nations including the US.
especially if Obama becomes president.
then the only ones for Israel will be people like John Hagee and real beleivers.

then when the Catching away happens Israel will find any and all support absolutely gone.
