Here is a Dumb question, but do you think we will still enjoy video games in heaven like we did here, at all or no? I am quite the Gamer, and was brought up playing video games heh. Kindy dorky, but hey that's me.
So do you think we will still be able to play games?
Or do you think we'd be limited to certain games, since most of the games today involve killing something or somebody in a game.
Heres some examples starting with the fiercest to least:
God of War
Grand Theft Auto
Gears of War
Halo
Final Fantasy Series
Street Fighter
Super Mario Bros. Series
Tetris
I can't think of any others but oh well :heh

Not dorky at all. I thought about the same question as well. I think God will give us something way better and a lot more fun than any video game here on earth.

I think the possibilities will also be endless, I'm just curious that's all.
By the way, this question was directed to Gamer's only. I know everyone doesn't play games so...:hehee

Honestly I've wondered the same thing :lol2 :hehee:hehee
I really don't know what to expect, though.
I love video games but I doubt that the majority of the action-packed games we enjoy, [Call of Duty, God of War, Halo, etc...etc...]
games like that, I doubt they would be "allowed" in Heaven due to the content...
1 Corinthians 2:9
9However, as it is written:
"No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him"
Who knows! :idunno

Oh I'm sure God will let us play video games in heaven but it will probably be those crappy wisdom tree games for nes (if you've never played them your not missing much except spiritual warfare its kinda fun).

That is a great question. I would take a guess that there won't be video games and once we get there, we would have no interest in them anyway. As an analogy, I picture a 1 year old who hopes to keep his pacifier with him forever. Couldn't imagine life without it. Eventually, though, he will find much better things in life and have no interest in the pacifier as he matures.
Likewise, I think we will mature upon entering the kingdom of God and never look back on the things we do for fun in this world, as there will be so much BETTER things to do. "No eye has seen, no ear has heard..."

Video games are part of our earthly life, where we are going I sincerely doubt there will be TV's, phones, radios, etc. I think our new lives will be quite different and that we cannot conceive now of what it will be like:
1 Corinthians 2:9
However, as it is written:
"No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him"
I am a long-time gamer going all the way back to the Pong days and the glory days of arcades. I LOVE video games! I currently have a PS3 hooked up to a 52" Bravia. But when God says it's time I will gladly leave that and all my other toys behind, because they really don't matter :)

Great analogy :)

I love video games too. I have been playing them ever since the Intellivision days in the early 80's when I was a kid. I don't see myself playing them in Heaven though. I mostly see myself exploring beautiful scenery. I really have no clue lol.

It says that there will be no sin in Heaven. So that leads me to think that there wont even be a likeness of sin. With the majority of games that have alot of violent killing in them, its definitely not gonna be in Heaven. I'm a gamer myself and I've played my share of violent games, and lately I've been thinking that is it wrong for me to play these games on this Earth...I mean I play them then when Im done, I just forget about it, I dont obsess over them. The bible says that we shouldnt idolize things that arent of God. Anyways...just the latest thought crossing my head about this particular topic.
