I was wondering if you could explain what you wrote last. Are you saying that Mormons are as entitled to believe what they want (truth or not, fact or not ?) We are all to decide what to believe, but it should always be based on God's Word, the Bible. Before I go on and on, could you please explain what you meant. Is this the same person that wrote concerned about a family member and the Mormon Church? Please respond soon. In His Grace.

it's funny how non-lds books/articles/dvd's about Mormonism have widely become more authoritative than from an lds standpoint. if i'm not mistaken, Presbyterians set the guidelines for what they believe; baptists set the guidelines for what they believe. likewise, Mormons set the guidelines for what they believe... perhaps other protestants interpret better what we actually believe??? hmm...

It is difficult, because Mormons do not always agree on their own doctrine. Some say they no longer believe in the early prophets teachings. Some say they think that the living prophet is the only authority. I thought God was the same yesterday today and forever. The best source I have found is the Utah Lighthouse Ministries. They use all of the LDS's own documents to show the changing world of Mormonism. Hope this helps.:pray

what? who told you that? only apostates would say that. i've never heard an active member of the church say that... ever!

i might say that modern profets help us so that we don't have to depend on dead prophets. but the ancient words of old are still relevant today. yes, God is the same God... and hence prophets, apostles, temples, revelation, unpaid ministry and the priesthood are still essential to the church of christ...

Yes, I am happy to say I am an apostate Mormon. I was not speaking about Biblical prophets. I was talking about the practice of Mormons saying they no longer believe what Brigham Young taught. His views on the "Adam God" theory, also his teachings regarding polygamy. I thought we were all "Born Again Christians" on this page. :shocked
