Tree-hugging is bizarre, but Earth Day isn't all bad. One devout, born-again Christian girl in my school went around the building collecting hundreds of plastic water bottles for our school's often-neglected recycling bins. Now, that's a good idea, isn't it?

Of course, when neo-pagans try to use environmental awareness as an excuse to push their beliefs, that's where I draw the line.

Today I went to Whole Foods for the first time & I thought it was absolutely laugable how there was a magazine with Obama on the cover & the caption read "President for the Planet!" Isn't this the same guy who cruises around town in a limo that only gets 9mpg ? :scratch Now I'm all for recycling & not wasting. To me that's just common sense. But to go totally overboard with "i'm going to breathe one less breath" or "Love your mother earth" is just plain ridiculous!
