Looking for an opening to witness is nearly futile without the Holy Spirit's
guidance.
This truth came home to me last week.
At the cardiologists I met a nurse who treated me during the heart monitoring procedures. She injected something in my arm and told me to return in about an hour. Seeing a Christian book store, I went in and found M.R. DeHaan's "Chemistry of the Blood," and bought it, intending to read it if I had to wait a while.
Trying to visit an old friend at his sign business, I discovered he'd sold it to a new owner.I chatted with him for a while until he told me his name...........
it WAS THE SAME LAST NAME AS THE NURSE BACK AT THE CARDIOLOGIST'S OFFICE.
Ascertaining that the man was the nurse's husband, (I asked him if he would mind if I kidded her a little when I went back to the Cardiologists office) a highly unusual coincidence to say the least.
So when I returned to the office I asked her how long she'd worked there,
(28 years!) Being as she was a jolly sort I asked her, "Aren't you tired of supporting a husband who tries to make a living painting signs?"........You can imagine the look on her face! She thought I was psychic for a little bit until I explained the situation.
I gave her Dr. DeHaan's "Chemistry of the Blood" and she promised to read it.
Thought it was a neat thing that she was in that line of work, the same way Dr. De Haan was.........don't you?
Pray for her.........her name is Gail.
