There is going to be a Bible Bee in September--the 1st one ever. They have extended registration until 15 May (approximate date)
I just signed my 3 kids up, and am very excited to structure our studies around prep for the Bee. There are over 12,000 kids signed up now, and it is exciting to think of all these kids studying verses, and preparing for the Bible knowledge tests. 300 kids from the 3 different age groups will go to Nationals in Washington DC in November, and the monetary prizes are significant--grand prize winner for the 15-18 group is 100,000$! 1st prize winners go down in value for the younger groups, but are still weighty.
If you are looking for a structure to plug into, and a chance to associate with other kids who have been studying the Bible, this is a great opportunity. Go to the Bible Bee website, and find out locations for the local contests. The study guide is out now--came out May 1st, so you can look at the content. There are 350 verses to memorize, and some great tips on how to memorize and how to study the 6 Books that have been selected.

I hope some of you will join us in studying for the Bee. I want to learn the verses along with the kids.
