Will be transferred from where? Are they in a different school, now? What does public school have to do with intervention....intervention from what? Sorry I ask so many questions......I guess I am just not sure what you are talking about.

Same ?s here---not sure what you mean by intervention. When I read the title, I thought you meant ''drug' intervention.

You shouldn't be 'afraid' of public school systems. Encourage your children to be witnesses for Christ as they get older. They will be a blessing to other children who may not hear much about God.

If the Lord is leading you to Homeschool then trust that He will guide you. Same with public school, if that is where He want's you.

My daughter has several learning disabilities. When I talked to a good friend of mine, who is a special ed. teacher in the PS, I found out that I was actually doing MORE for my daughter than she would have gotten in school. In fact my friend was taking notes from me! :pound There are great tools out there for you, don't be afraid. :) Here are a few you might want to look at.

In those areas...please take the help you can get. I know a family here in our small town that did nothing for their childs speech delay.....she is almost five and does not talk. Now....they waited too long, and she will probably never speak. The 'learning window" for her mentally to process language is shut. They should have found somebody trained to help them a few years ago.

Has their pediatrician diagnosed them with speech delays? If so, they might order speech therapy, which is a much more focused therapy than early intervention offers. That was the road we took and our child "graduated" early from her speech therapy.

If they are young, you should be okay. My children go to public school to get the benefits of special education as well. They are both in elementary school now. Other than evolution, we have not come across anything objectionable. And by then, they knew perfectly well how the world was created, so we had a few conversations at dinner about what the Bible says compared to what the teacher said and that was it.

Also, know that, if you choose to send your child to a private or charter school, they should be able to receive speech services there as well.

One thing about speech therapy is that, done early enough, it tends to be something that doesn't last much past middle to upper elementary, at the latest. My daughter is one of 3 children in the 100 kids in 6th grade getting speech therapy. The numbers are much higher in preschool and kindergarten.

I work in early intervention in Michigan. If your child under 3 is eligible for speech services, don't delay. The early services start, the better the prognosis for the child.
