From the website:
Wow, we’re sure getting quite the response online to this idea of TalkToJesus. People seem to think we’re trying to replace the Real Jesus in your hearts with our Fake Jesus in a phone? Amazing how people jump to conclusions. That’s not our intent.
Have you ever had some issue troubling you, and you knew there was a passage in the Bible that could probably help, but you didn’t know where or even what it was? Sure, most of the time you’d speak with your pastor, priest or other spiritual counselor to help sort through the problem and find the words from scripture to guide you on your way.
But what if your pastor was busy? Out of town? Speaking with another person? What if your friends and family didn’t know where to point you? Wouldn’t it be useful, as an alternative, to have a number to call, 24/7, where a virtual persona could ask you a series of questions, diagnose your problem, and deliver the appropriate biblical passage to help you through your day?
Of course you have your own relationship with God, Jesus, the Universe and your spiritual leaders. TalkToJesus will never replace those and wasn’t meant to. TTJ is simply an incredibly unique service, where, if you need to connect with passages from the Bible and don’t know where else to turn, you can call up, talk through the issue, and get a relevant answer from scripture, tailored to your specific need.
It’s an innovative way to search for answers from the Bible that’s never been done before. There are several good Bible lookup sites on the Internet, including www.biblegateway.com — we’re just taking it to the next level.

No, of course not. Your intent is to make a lot of money off marketing Jesus, by presuming you know how He would answer all those in various situations, in a relevant way. :nono Not Good. :ohno

As I said above, I'm not in favor of putting words in the Lord's mouth - but how do you know that they are in it for the money?

If this is the case, if what they are doing is using some kind of cross-reference program, or say a Genome Project to find appropriate biblical passages that address particular issues/questions, then I'd rethink my objections.
My objections were based on their putting words into Jesus' mouth - if they are simply using an animated Jesus (though I doubt he has blue eyes) to speak pure Scripture (pure as in no commentary or subjective interpretations) - no objection.
If, however, they go beyond this and add commentary or use Scriptures to advance a theological agenda - using an animated Jesus - I'd object.

i do not need a 'talking jesus' on the internet to share my concerns and prayer with. give me a break. this is no better than contemplative prayer or having to walk a labyrinth to find your focus on God. its just one more thing to put between people and the real God.
all we need is to pray.
if your looking for a verse than biblegateway is all you need or a christian friend/pastor. i am sure that the real Jesus does not like being presented as a talking head in a cellphone.

Legal disclaimer: TalkToJesus is intended for entertainment purposes only.
This is not a Bible verse search engine. It says, "you will be able to talk with me and I will remember your name and save it for the future. We can talk, converse, pray, confess...all in complete privacy and confidentiality. This will be meaningful or entertaining, it is completely up to you."
Demons are out to put anything and everything between a believer and God and those who do not believe, are making money off His name and are making a mockery of faith. Disgusting.

Well, speaking to a fake Jesus despite the accolades is idolatry.
We are to go boldly to the throne of grace.. the Lord Jesus Himself.. (Heb 4:16)
EXAMPLE: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b217/NiseyG/cow.jpg"I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob"
O.k. so Moses should listen to the cow???:doh:doh:ohno

Looks like from BNL's repsonse above that they will be charging people for this service soon. :doh :ohno Looks like the have taken our Lord and Savior to "entertainment" purposes now. :doh :ohno :rolleyes
I don't think this kind of stuff is good. We could very easily have people bowing down to the computer screen, candles around their monitor, etc. going on here. This could easily be idolatry here.
We need to worship God in the spirit, as Jesus said that God is spirit, and that it is the true worship that the Father seeks. :nod
