If this is the case, if what they are doing is using some kind of cross-reference program, or say a Genome Project to find appropriate biblical passages that address particular issues/questions, then I'd rethink my objections.

My objections were based on their putting words into Jesus' mouth - if they are simply using an animated Jesus (though I doubt he has blue eyes) to speak pure Scripture (pure as in no commentary or subjective interpretations) - no objection.

If, however, they go beyond this and add commentary or use Scriptures to advance a theological agenda - using an animated Jesus - I'd object.
Yes, if it's just topical issues and the answers are all scripture then it may help of few.
I can see how it could easily run away into a subjective experience.

As I said above, I'm not in favor of putting words in the Lord's mouth - but how do you know that they are in it for the money?

Harley, :wave
I don't "know" for sure, that they are in it for the money.
I should of phrased it differently.
Please forgive me. :hug

From the site:
A history changing event is about to occur. Soon millions of people worldwide will be able to have private, verbal conversations with the virtual Jesus from any phone, anytime, anywhere on a daily basis.

Me:
This is already offered to me for free. Through faith, I have that assurance that Jesus is hearing and answering my prayers. 24/7. So when you offer a service that is already available for free, then it would appear that you are marketing 'Jesus' for a profit.

From the site:
Of course you have your own relationship with God, Jesus, the Universe and your spiritual leaders. TalkToJesus will never replace those and wasn’t meant to. .......

Me: Hmm, it seems like they are trying not to offend anyone and would like this product to be used by everyone. Which bothers me as to what this virtual Jesus would say to someone who is a practicing Mormon, Jehovah Wittness, Hindu.

How does virtual Jesus respond to those who are in a Homosexual lifestyle and believes that Jesus is ok with that, because their newer translation reads differently? How does interactive Jesus respond to those who say they have a relationship with the Universe, or Buddah, Muhammad etc.?( Most religions believe in Jesus, but only one, believes Him to be God, the second person of the Trinity, the only Way to Heaven) So Im just curious as to how virtual Jesus will answer these other people should they happen to call). :idunno

I didn't see if it said this on the site or not, but does virtual Jesus read from various different bibles so he can respond correctly according to what each individual believes to be true to them, in order to not offend?

I will have to say that, it certainly seems to me, they have cleverly come up with a gimmick (albeit a sick one) to fleece whomever will fall for it. That is, unless they are offering virtual Jesus, free of charge.

Just my personal observation. That's all.:hug

i do not need a 'talking jesus' on the internet to share my concerns and prayer with. give me a break. this is no better than contemplative prayer or having to walk a labyrinth to find your focus on God. its just one more thing to put between people and the real God.
all we need is to pray.
if your looking for a verse than biblegateway is all you need or a christian friend/pastor. i am sure that the real Jesus does not like being presented as a talking head in a cellphone.

I agree...:nod

Of course you have your own relationship with God, Jesus, the Universe and your spiritual leaders.

This is just another "false" Jesus being pushed, in an attempt to remove THE JESUS from our lifes. We MUST be out of here soon.

Why a TalkToJesus?

Why not a interactive bible with a happy looking bible giving us God's word?
That would be more biblical and less disturbing.
Although scrap the happy look of the bible and just show a bible that opens up and shows the verses we seek.

I actually found such a bible...it has spoken and written text on the screen, graphics, and an interactive feature that allows you direct access to any chapter or book. There are sound effects and music where appropriate. It is really nicely done... You can choose the version you prefer. It is produced by Thomas Nelson, Inc.

Horrible.

what will come after believers are gone:

And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. Rev 13:15

Yes, but don't forget this . . .

Rev. 14:6
Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth—to every nation, tribe, language and people.

With God, there is always hope. :)

Grace and Peace to you.

This is not a Bible verse search engine. It says, "you will be able to talk with me and I will remember your name and save it for the future. We can talk, converse, pray, confess...all in complete privacy and confidentiality. This will be meaningful or entertaining, it is completely up to you."

Demons are out to put anything and everything between a believer and God and those who do not believe, are making money off His name and are making a mockery of faith. Disgusting.

Whether or not this is demonic I have no way of knowing - but, as I said before, no one should be putting words in Jesus' mouth.

This echos my original concerns, that they'd be putting words in Jesus' mouth.
