Thinking of buying an Xbox 360.........

I have a Wii and absolutely can't stand it. The graphics are outright horrible and the RPG's are even worse. I bought Madden '09 when it came out and refuse to even play it on the Wii. I cannot tell you how much I can't stand this system.

So then, should I buy an Xbox 360? I mainly only play Madden and some RPG's. I just want an adult game system where the people/players do not resemble bobbleheads.

Preferably the arcade one if your tight on money.
I don't know if you'll get the Red Rings, but lately I haven't heard of them too much.
I think there becoming less frequent which is good.

This is a thread I started last month about me trying to make up my mind in taking my 360 back to Best Buy and getting my money back. It may be of some help to you in deciding in getting one. I recommend if you are planning to get one then do some research and try to get one with the latest jasper motherboard because that is suppose to greatly reduce the chances of getting the Red Rings of Death. Also get the warranty too just in case. I also recommend not standing it up like it is shown and make sure it has plenty of breathing room out in the open.

I have a Playstation 3 also which I had since launch and I have had no problems so far. Do some research and google up jasper Xbox 360 to find out how to look for one if you still plan on getting a 360. There is a way to tell by the date or by looking at the connection through a hole in the box. I bought the Resident Evil limited Edition Red Elite console because all of those have the Jasper chips in them. They are probably hard to find now. Also do not take the sales' clerk's word on it also. They are just making a sale.

I have the Wii also. I hardly play it. The only time it sees any action is when my sister and brother in law play Wii Fit on it. I plan to download some games from the Virtual console in the future onto some SD cards. Other then that I have not been that impressed with the Wii. I want to download Final Fantasy IV: The After Years when it comes out.

I'm on my 4th 360. Kept getting hardware failures. So far so good on this one.

Yes buy a 360, sure there might be some hardware issues, but microsoft covers these problems for free. I had to send in my system to be fixed and I had a new system mailed back to me with 2 weeks and they gave me a free month of xbox live gold.

don't waste your money, just get a decent graphics card for your PC and play on there, way better then these silly consoles.

I just put together a really nice gaming computer, and I am looking forward to playing Oblivion, Fall Out 3 and Left4dead. With xbox's you have to pay to play online, but most of the online content for games on a pc is free. That is unless you plan on getting something like a WoW account, but honestly, WoW will eat your life if you play on it.

Sorry for the dealy in the reply. I forgot I ever posted this after checking it a while back.

My Fiance won't let me sell the Wii. She loves the thing, but mostly because it plays the old Gamecube games. She also has all her Guitar Hero stuff and my daughter has some games she enjoys on it. I'm in the minority because I want some cool RPG's, or new Sports games, but I'm not buying them for the Wii!
