I have to admit, I read "The DaVinci Code" when it first came out. It seemed like a thriller involving ancient landmarks throughout the world.
As I got got deeper and closer to the end, it started to disturb me more and more . . . then I came to the pivotal point of the book and threw it way with the rest of the garbage in the garbage pail.
What can one expect from someone who is a Scientologist? Bring doubt straight from the pits of hell to sidetrack and deceive humanity.
Ditto! I did the same exact thing. And of course the book also ended up in the trash can. I just hated that I wasted my money and time on it!

I was very disappointed in our supposed All-American actors Hanks and Howard being involved in the DaVinci Code and now another!

I never read the DaVinci Code, but I did read "Angels and Demons". Not a bad read. I found it pretty harmless in light of the other book. It's more about the whole "science vs. religion" theme - the Illuminati vs. the Roman Church. I didn't read portion that criticized the basis tenets of true Christianity - but then again, I read it as mere action-based fiction. I wonder if the movie will be anything like the book.

Yeah, just another misleading movie with enough truth sprinkled in to seem legit, but what's the ultimate purpose here? Guarantee it's not salvation in Christ.

Come on...it's a movie.
The church has enough problems presenting the Word of God in context to an unbelieveing world without having to compete with Hollywood's bogus perspectives of Christianity and Salvation.
Please don't get me wrong. I am all for a good movie, but not one that detracts from or disputes the deity and person of Christ.

Consciously"Didn't read the criticism of Christianity" but you're curious and seemingly prepared to go see the movie? You already know what the gist is going to be. See how these little seeds of doubt grow.
