One picture is with the flash one without. The one without is more of the color of the walls. I put his bedspread in there too.
I have a couple of issues. Where can I find vintage sporting things, like old baseball mitts, catchers gloves, maybe an old jersey basketball or whatever sport.
I also wanted to do some kind of neat thing on his wall. I suggested doing a chalkboard border and just write plays up there all around his room. My husband is not diggin that too well. I guess because its time consuming.
I wanted to paint some kind of cool design from an overhead projector but I am not sure what I would paint?!?
Please help me!

Yes, I have thought about garage sales. I need to do them more. I tried looking up stuff on Ebay, but it was hard for me to nail down a category. I have 3 bats that were my dads. I would love to find old bats and hang them on his wall so as time went on, they would cover one side of his wall.
Where can I find old vintage sports pictures?
I was thinking of painting a ball park, or a locker or something on the wall. My son is 6 and doesn't really have a favorite team yet, he just loves the sports.
What else could I paint on his wall? Hmmmm:scratch

eBay!! I know you may not want to consider, but you'd be surprised what you can find on ebay.
I just did a search for "vintage baseball" in the sporting goods category and came up with 286 vintage baseball items. There were baseballs, mitts, and bats, all from different eras.

Try finding an old gym locker while you are at it. You can paint it in a color to go with the room, and he can use it for sports gear, or for his books and school supplies.

My suggestion is keep it simple. Do not try and clutter the room with all sorts of old stuff just to have a "theme" in there. Maybe find a multi-level book shelf and put some sports books on it and some balls and gloves, pictures. Get some world-series programs, superbowl programs etc. Display them in an open and visable manner.
I guess you can hang things on the wall too but to me, simple is better.
A photographic tip. Try turning your picture slighly when you take a flash picture. The flash will not be reflected off the glass and the photo will come out much nicer.
Good luck !!

Those are some good ideas. I found a photograph of my father when he played football back in the 50's I am going to frame it. I know I have one of my grandfather playing also somewhere around my house or my brothers. I am going to hang just a couple of bats up, but I don't want a big junky mess. I agree Chula in keeping it simple. As I see things I can add, but he is only 6!
I will get a shot of the room. I am almost done putting things back together.
