There are other threads about it. It's interesting that there will be two more after this year, all falling on the Jewish calender, !st of Av. Don't know if it means anything, but interesting non the less.

Hmmm I wonder if God is marking Av because soon the 9th of Av will no longer be a cursed day for the Jews.

I am wondering if Zech 12:10 will be fulfilled at the end of Gog and Magog and take place on the 9th of Av sometime in the near future.

The eclipse is only total in a narrow strip starting in Artic Canada and passing through parts of Russia and China.
Put it this way if you are in Israel you wouldn't realise anything was happenning unless you had a telescope

10 bucks says it means squat and nothing at all happens.

Actually-this particular one is a WARNING to the Gentile nations.

You are right. Nothing will happen, b/c it's only a warning for now.

ha! finally the LOTR fans have emerged, lol!

i think one of my favorite parts is from the 1st one, where frodo is sitting by gandalf and he sighs 'i wish the ring had never come to me' and gandalf says something like 'so do all who live to see times such as these...' i'm too lazy to go get the book and find the full quote, but i like the encouragment.

OP, thanks very much for posting that awesome little animation!

Will the news or other tv programs be broadcasting/reporting this tomorrow?

If so, which ones?

We need to question strongly that which is extra- biblical as in the link that Ba123 gave in the previous post.

"Rabbinical tradition teaches us that a solar eclipse is a bad omen for the world."

Imo, rabbinical teaching does not trump the Word of God.
The Word of God teaches me not to fear, to trust God, to look up because my redemption is near, to occupy til He comes. August 1st, is just another day to serve the Lord with gladness and watch and wait for His coming!
