It is possible that the "number" God has in mind for the rapture will come in on the day that is also a Jewish feast day. But then again it may not. :idunno We don't know for sure. I've seen good arguments for and against each position. I think the best we can do is get sure in our salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ, and be ready to go if he calls us up later today. JMHO. :)
no arguement from me! Either way it's imminent!

I saw Zola Leavitt do a program about the Feast of Trumpets and the rapture of the church about ten years ago, and it seems that since then many others have jumped on the bandwagon to share his beliefs. He has a book about the Feasts of Israel, with events that have already happened on the days of some of the feasts, and events that he believed may yet happen. He also did an amazing program about Passover, and how it is a model of Christ. Being a Messianic Jew, he had insights that many of us might overlook, but always reminded us that no one could know the day or the hour of the rapture.

I think Fall is a good season for a rapture.. But I'm not saying it will be.. Just that it would be a good time.. I went for a walk today with my wife after church.. We went to a nature park which I love being in the nature.. As we walk down the trails.. It made me think how fall goes out with a bang.. it so pretty.. the tree start to bloom in the spring bring new life.. Then in the summer it Grow in age and mature.. then the fall it has reach it max peak and goes out in the most amazing Way with many beautiful colours.. before it dies off in the winter meaning the leaves.. As I was thinking about this I was thinking about the church in the end times that before the rapture we would be at our max and that we would go out in style before the 7 years of death.. then I was thinking about winter It cold, gray, very little sun.. no food for the animals.. all the bird fly away from the winter up north where it most affected by cold and no life for them.. Then after looking at the tree's and there leaf's I look at the animal's collecting nuts and getting ready for the season with no food and making there homes more warmer for the winter.. Hard at work knowing they have so little time to get ready before winter set in.. Then I was thinking to myself.. How wonderful fall is and it would be a perfect season for the rapture.. Why??? Because it a season of getting ready like the animal's do during this season.. There perparing for the worse season of the year for them winter.. getting ready to hide from it with all there food stored up.. Then I Was thinking we the church should get ready and more and more close to god reading our word seeking him more and more and getting ready to go home.. then I think of the bird that fly away to the south to get away from the winter.. to get away from the cold in the north. so it a flying season for the bird why not the church as well.. they fly to get away from harm so will the church.. and the other animals that been getting ready for the winter will hide away from the cold in tree's or caves will heaven be that tree or cave for us the church when things look bad on earth in the 7 year of judgement... then looking at winter and the seven years of judgement makes me think they have a lot in common.. no one like them but very few.. it cold, to much snow.. not safe for people who have no heat nor animal that find no place shelther nor store food.. also the road and sidewalk our bad with ice and snow on people many can get hurt if there not careful.. there not much life with tree and plants in the winter in the north.. But those that where ready for animals where safe from the cold winter and await a new born creation spring which begin a new birth again of leafs and plants.. any how was just thinking not saying that the rapture will happen in the fall for sure it just look like the right season for it for it a season of getting ready and goes out with glory..

A couple interesting things:
*The feast of Trumpets is a two day feast.
*It is tied to the barley harvest. In other words the actual feast may not be when the Jewish calendar says so, because after the exile in 70AD they had to come up with a different method for determining feast days than what was mandated in the Bible. It is possible that the normal time for the barley harvest could be off by a moon cycle due to the changing atmospheric conditions being blamed on global warming. Therefore, the Feast of Trumpets could be during any one of the new moon phases during the harvest season depending on the barley harvest.
*Also, there is 10 days from the first day of the Feast of Trumpets to the Feast of Atonement. Including the feast days you have seven days in between symbolozing the 7 year Trib.
*Don't forget that 4 of the 7 feasts have been fullfilled on the actual day. There is a lot of evidence that the feast of Atonement and the Feast of Tabernacles will be fulfilled in the end times on the actual days, so why not the rapture on the Feast of Trumpets also?
That said, we will not know the year or the hour or even the day, but I think there is a good argument to be made that the rapture will take place on some new moon during the harvest. :thumb

Agreed. The rapture is a secret event that literally can happen at any moment. :)
I read this thread and later last night I was reading Amos and this line stuck out (emphasis mine)
Amos 5:21 I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.
which makes me wonder if God is telling Amos that Israel shouldn't expect either the DOTL - and by extension - the rapture to fall on a feast day as God hates those celebrations as they came to represent Israel's rebelion and hypocrisy.
Amos 5:22 Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept [them]: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts.
Amos 5:23 Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols.
Amos 5:24 But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.
Amos 5:25 Have ye offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel? Amos 5:26 But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.
:idunno for sure, but I'm thinking both these events will occur during a cleansing rainstorm, see Amos 5:24, that will wash everything clean. Okay, perhaps this is just fanciful thinking; but it explains why I have such expectant feelings when I see dark clouds scuttling, lightening renting, and hear thunder pealing across a lowering sky.

Then why would He fulfill the first 4 feasts on the actual day of the feast many years after Amos was written and not fulfill the last 3 likewise in the end times? :idunno

:idunno Like I said, I don't understand. Why would He say He hates the feasts for what they represent, then promptly reneg?
He wouldn't unless...
Is there a chance the first four feasts where not fulfilled on the actual days but rather that the incongruity between calendars accounts for a discrepancy?
Or was His decision swayed and stayed?
If so, is this amendment revealed to another prophet? Which?
Is the date of the writing of Amos correct? I know the Bible and the Hebrew Torah are not in the same order, does this have a bearing?
Perhaps the line in, Amos does not apply to the rapture?
Sorry, I'm musing in the ether; but I read the line and it struck me as meaning that the DOTL and by extension the rapture (my extension), would and could happen on any given day. Thus explaining imminency for every day. I hate to think our departure is limited to only a few days of the year. But since I'm still working away at the Word, I realize I know nothing and look forward to hearing everyones comments on the subject:).

metroames, when I first started reading this thread, the first thing that came into my mind was: How many days between rosh hoshana and yom kippur? If it was seven days - that could represent the seven year tribulation period and the second coming. I was going to start looking for a calendar to check it out, and then found your post. I think you could be onto something very significant. I love this board :yeah:yeah!!!!

i dont know im not so sure if it revolves around the feast, Im thinking the rapture is far more special for Gods children, a special wedding, a special time beyond anyones thinking, if it were the feast, special yeah, BUT wouldnt it be more special if God set a specific time just for us? A special day for the US, what do you all think?
