This poem has touched me so much. I lost my son, Ricky in September. He was only 18.:msangel

The Arms of God

The Arms of God

I said, God I hurt....
And, God said, I know...

I said, God I cry a lot...
And God said, That is why I give you tears...
The eyes must rain so the soul can grow.

I said, Life is so hard...
And God said, That is why I gave you loved ones...

I said, But my loved one died...
And God said to me, so did mine...

I said, It is such a loss...
And God said, I saw mine nailed to a cross!

I said, But you loved one lives!
And God said, so does yours!

I said, Where are they now?
And God said, Mine is by my side, and Yours is in My arms!

I'm so sorry for your loss! I've lost my parents and my brother, but can't even imagine the loss of a child. My heart and prayers go out to you.

Your poem really touched my heart. I lost my brother in 2002 very suddenly and unexpectedly from a heart attack. Actually, he died while in the pulpit preaching a sermon. I lost my Mom in Sept. 2005, my Dad in Feb. 2006. My comfort is knowing that they are all in heaven, and as much as I miss them, I wouldn't want them to leave that beautiful place for anything.

Thank you for posting this poem. I'm going to copy it and keep it.

God Bless,
Linda
