I am the leader of the homeschool group of our church and one of the things I have been doing is sending out crazy fun holidays and special events that could be a fun addition to the everyday Math and English. I though I would also post them on here as we do have so many homeschoolers.

This week is National Clown Week. For fun, my pre-schoolers are coloring pictures of clowns, everyone is making clown hats and we are studying Joseph and the coat of many colors because most clowns wear lots of colors.

August 1st (or 5th depends where you look) is Sisters' Day!

Or use the topic as a writing project, sing songs about loving sisters, use it as your art lesson or simply sit in a circle and share what each other loves about their sister.

Have fun homeschooling and remember it isn't JUST about the Math and English, it's about the relationship you are growing with your children!
