For those who in the thread about 'Loose Change' think it's crazy that the military is after him because of his movie, what about this?

Has our government gone totally insane?

I think our government is insane. Border Patrol agents and now veterans are getting mistreated by our government. Well, I guess veterans have always been - but this is a new low. If only we could charge the politicians everytime they made a mistake or sue a judge that lets violent criminals go free and then hurt people. I could go on....

Whoa! This almost happened to me! The Iowa Guard wanted to know where a medic bag with its supplies had disappeared to after I got home. I turned the bag in at demobilization station because it was covered in brown bloodstains and body fluids. The medical equipment was all disposable and used up in less than a week after arriving in Iraq in the first place. I had to order a new bag overseas since that one was so torn up and gross after a few months in country. I paid for the new bag with my own money.

The total cost of a cheap nylon medic bag I was initially issued fully stocked was $1200.00. I can get the same thing off the shelf for around $35.00. Needless to say I didn't have to pay for a new one. There are some straight up pencil pushing morons in the military.

I don't think they're insane. I think they just don't care about our people.
This is but one of a thousand examples.

What about the millions of tax dollars that congressmen and women waste every year? Maybe we (the people) should start sending them bills... :rolleyes

Under the civilian price the items came to approximately $300.00. However, under the government prices it was over $1200.00. We couldn't believe the difference.

Guess which companies profit.

Guess who pays for it all.

War is profit.

Well, it's not all meant to be profit taking by the companies. Most firms these days get on a standard GSA contract to provide goods and services; these are set at standard prices, but also have standard quality guidelines built in. A company may make a nice profit on the transaction, but on the other hand they can't change prices while the contract is in effect.

$100 for a bag of laundry in Iraq when I can do it for $3. Who's paying for that? You and me.

We barely give that much in wellfare, even though I don't condone wellfare.
