Congratulations Ginger! Our families sound similar...we have four girls, 8-6-2-1. Yeah, at four kids you will start hearing the rude comments about having too many kids and don't you know what causes that and all that ridiculous stuff people say. Don't listen to a word of it. :hug God doesn't create a baby that isn't part of His plan! Although we consider ourselves to be done with our four, I was watching the youngest playing the other night and told my husband I find it completely overwhelming that, despite how crazy our lives are with four, that if we were to have more we would love them just as much as we do the four we already have and wouldn't be able to imagine our lives without them!

Yes you probably will... my in-laws think it's such a funny joke, hahah haven't you figured out how that happens, etc ad nauseum.... :rolleyes

Congratulations!!

I'm 35 and due in 11 days -- i'm nervous but really excited too!! This will be #5 and #6 for the family if you count my step-son... :lol2 I LOVE having a large family - never thought i would -- but i wouldn't give any of them back.. :) I will say this though this pregnancy has been alot harder then the last two.

Mine are ages: 18, 13, 8 and 7 years old -- and if i thought i could do the pregnancy part again i would do it once more.. :hehee:lol2

Hi everyone! I'm 26 weeks now (due on March 3rd) and I found out I'm having a boy! My husband is pretty excited that after 3 girls we are now having a boy. I was very surprised, after 3 girls I never expected to ever have a boy. Everything is going great. I have to do the yucky glucose test (where you drink that orange drink) next time I go to the doctor's. I never had any problems with any of my other pregnancies - so I'm no expecting to have any this time. I'm a pretty boring patient, I never have any questions or concerns. I just hope I can make it to the hospital on time when the time comes. Last time I had to have the ER doctor deliver my dd because the doctor couldn't make it on time.

So glad everything is going well for you ginger!

You must be excited to be having a son, after having 3 girls. Your DH must have been feeling way outnumbered. :lol2

I know alot of women like this too.. With way larger families then me and the kiddos are so close in age.. God bless them i don't know how they do it..

I have the hardest time with the pregnancy... I don't think i could do even one more pregnancy.. This one at 35 has been difficult on me.. But maybe i'm more a baby then most. :lol2

My youngest 2 are very close in age; and i was and am so thankful for that; but oh man those first 2 years were rough on me.. :lol2

I tell ya though if i thought i could do this one more time i would love to have another baby boy too.. Then we would have 7 with my step-son.... :)

I LOVE my kids!! Most think were nuts but i don't care.... :yeah

First let me say congratulations to you! A child is a blessing from God! Always!

Let me follow that by saying, I remember so clearly how I felt the same way as you did when I found we were going from 3 to 4. I had the same fears of how our family and society would react. I even came here to post these fears and a wonderful lady ( I wish I knew who it was now so I could thank her!) sent me to a web forum called www.momys.com It was on that forum I met my now bestfriend who just had her 10th baby! :) Being around other moms who I could watch with their blessings and see how a large family functions helped me immensely. My entire outlook has changed our children and we have pretty much said "Who cares!" to societys viewpoints. It is about God and God will back us- and that is awesome to get to that point and realize.

We are now on 5 going to 6... I don't even think about the stares or comments anymore. It just is our way of life now and God has totally done a work in me and my husbands hearts through it all. If you would have told me 10 years ago that I would have 6 kids and would be excited to even have more I would have laughed and probably RAN the other direction out of FEAR. But like I said, God is awesome and I am thankful everyday for the little pitterpatter feet running around and being able to train up soldiers for God's army!

Bless you!

Thanks for the kind words westernskies. I'll have to check out that website.

Congrats for you and your daughter Sing4Him! :wave
My grandma reminded me that 2008 is a leap year, so they could be leap year babies if they come early
edit to add: or come late, I think, in your case....

Oh! Sing! Congratulations on your impending Grandmahood! I bet you can't wait!

Does your daughter know if it's a girl or a boy? Any names picked out?
