That is great news. :thumb
I too am a sufferer of classic migrains.
These a few suggestions out of my Nutritonal Health Book.
Recomendations:
Adopt a diet that is low in simple carbohydrates and high in protein . Include almonds, almond milk. watercress, parsley, fennel, garlic, cherries and fresh pineapple in the diet.
Omit from the diet foods that contain the amino acid tyamine, including aged meats, avacados, bananas, beer, cabbage, canned fish, dairy produtc, eggplant, hard cheeses, potatoes, raspberries, redplums, tomatoes, wine, and yeast. Also avoid alcoholic beverages, aspirin, chocolate, monosodium glutmate (MSG), and nitrites (preservatives found in hot dogs and luncheon meats). Through the process of elimination, try to see if you have a particular allergy, to some, or all of these foods.
Massage your neck and the back of your head daily.
Avoid salt fried foods and fatty greasy foods.
Eat small meals, and eat small, nutritious snacks between meals if needed, to help stablilize wide swings in the blood sugar that may precipitate a migraine. especially avoid missing meals.
I personally have found that anything with MSG in it will difinetly trigger a migraine. Lunceon meats, bacon, hot dogs etc.
I feel for your daughter they are immobilizing and since I have the flashing the zig-zag lightening that appears before the actual headache , I always panic. I hate them. I have to go into a dark room and just start quoting scripture. It's the only thing that calms me when they start to happen.
I hope this helps a little. There are some herbal supplements that might help, but I would check with a Dr. before taking anything.
I will be praying for your daughter. :hug

:hug Congratulations!! Maybe she could use something like migraine head on :scratch I cant take migraine medicine with the other medications I take,so I use the head on stuff or another one called migra-stick which goes on your forehead. They work good if you catch the migraine early. :wave

Hi Sing4Him!
Congrats on your new arrival. As it happens, I type medical reports for a migraine doctor, specializing in migraines. He usually prescribes petadolex and 5-HTP as natural supplements with all of his new patients. I think you can order these on-line without a script. I do not know if they are safe for pregnancy, but it's a worth checking into. Lots of people have very good success just using these naturals supps.
Blessings to you Granny,
Hope
