The world, the flesh, and the devil can manipulate your life into going against God's will which is why we should always be reading God's word, praying to God for guidance, and for the Holy Spirit to enlighten our path.

Psalm 5:8 Be my guide, O Lord, in the ways of your righteousness, because of those who are against me; make your way straight before my face.

Psalm 25:4 Make your steps clear to me, O Lord; give me knowledge of your ways.

Psalm 84:5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in You; Your ways are in their hearts.

Psalm 119:105 Your Word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.

Exodus 33:13 Now therefore, I pray You, if I have found grace in Your sight, make me see now Your ways, that I may know You, that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people.

Proverbs 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Satan can not answer prayer at all, satan works in the realm of temptations..

Now these temptations that seem to come along in our life take on many forms materal, Monitary, and human, Emotional...

satan is not omni present at all But he does understand all things and human nature.. he can not answer pray at all..
satan works in the realm of what is known as Familar spirits, which makes him seem as if he is apparently every where all the time dumping temptation in one path even if that something at times may apear as an answer to a prayer in ones life at times ..

ever ran in to a person who no matter what they do or say They always seem to say something that makes you feel better some how , or a person that no matter how hard you try they always make you feel small , little not worthy or what ever how ever no matter how good or how worthless in the end they always leave you feeling more empty and lonely then you already were These are familars ..

they seem to give something but really in the end they take from you and give nothing lasting leave you drained and lower in self esteam then you were when you started.. many times The familar spirit will be the good samartin who stops when you broke down on the side of the road you get talking with while they help that dureing the talk you find much in comon with or seems to have the answer to a question you been tryin to get the answer to or that tid bit of gopsip you been trying to find ..

THey could be this wonderfull person who seemed to slip into your life you witness to and they agree to come to church with you, how ever in time as you bring this person to church they start feeding you little bits and peaces about everyone life in the church and over time cause you slow deciline and discontent with these brothers and sisters or they might fane the flames of some old wrong one member did to you you had forgiven long ago..

familar sprits too can come in the form of brothers and sisters in christ and this is why it is alway important to be lean on the lord and in his word in study and prayer ,haveing fellowship and study with but not being dependent on another for spiritual well being ...

Would you ask him to explain further, and post what he says? I'd like to know what he meant.

The only thing that makes sense would be that satan answers prayers of devil worshipers.

I don't see how prayers of Christians could be answered by satan. If we pray according to God's will, then God answers the prayer in His perfect timing. If we ask God for something and it isn't His will, the answer is no, and we don't get what we ask for.

Obviously, satan tries to trip us up, tempt us to sin, etc., but I don't see how he could be answering prayers of Christians. :scratch

I think prayer is the wrong word anyway to be used in this instance. satan can't answer any prayers. he can answer verbal request his followers make but only if it's within his power to do so. he can also maybe know the thoughts of possessed people but only possessed people if even them because, unlike the Lord God Almighty satan is not omniscient (all knowing meaning knowing our thoughts before we have them) nor is he omnipresent (everywhere, all the time) thus he has to rely on his demons and they have to be present.

A whole lot of prayers are unspoken and some prayers are made using the Holy Spirit because the supplicant doesn't know what to pray for they just know they need prayer.

To me prayer is only associated with God.

satan mimicks God but he has to pull tricks to do so like a magician. he has limited powers. he can only do what God allows him to do. he can only grant "wishes" or whatever when he hears them verbally, a demon hears them verbally or if maybe a person is possessed. he's a charlatan. A very bad copy of Jesus the Real Thing.:yeah

If your prayer is aligned with God's will, why would he want to answer it?

Excellent point! he, being satan wouldn't. I think the OP was about the lost and followers of the world and of satan and that satan answers their prayers.......requests or wishes would be better words. he certainly wouldn't want to answer any of ours for obvious reasons. Nor could he even if he wanted to.:)
