I've noticed that we have a very high guest vs. logged in ratio.
Where are you visitors coming from? :scratch

I noticed a few days back that the old board had over 20000 registered folks of which over 12000 were active. Maybe quite a few of those folks are stopping by these days and maybe trying to login with their old usernames and passwords? :idunno Could be some other reasons apart from this too...

Don't forget the Yahoo Slurp Spiders and the MSN spiders. :spider

FWIW, out of curiosity, I went checked some other similar boards and the "ratio" seems the same.

A lot of people like to read but they don't join.

Also, I can't erase the cookies because we would never be able to remember all the passwords for all the sites stored on our computer. If I have to stop reading to answer the phone, I'm logged out by the time I'm able to say, "Sorry, I don't want ____ today."
Plus, I think some of the forums are missing on the page when I look at it now.

Todd, this is going to be the cookie issue. Everytime I come back I am a guest. I only log in when I want to post, because the "system" doesn't remember me.
We likely need an effective fix for this cookie problem.

Same here, I can't seem to stay logged in. Each time I come back here I am logged out... unless I am going to post, I stay as a quest while reading. I don't know how to get it to remember me.
Maybe others are experiencing this?

I just shut down IE and came in with Firefox and I still had to re-log in. I almost always use IE because I have a link at the top, but I was hoping this would work. It the little things that bug me... :þ
