I got into these polls by signing up on the Zogby website. At one time I used to be a political junkie and was very much into campaigns, etc, etc. For reasons I won't get into here (that belong in another thread) I decided to stay out of politics except for an occasional letter to the editor.
If I get a response from Zogby about my message I will let everyone know. Either they won't respond or they will refuse to let me know who commissioned this survey. Depending on their response, I may opt out of getting them in the future.
Has anyone heard about the RFID chips in animals and in some humans, it causes a tumor to grow around the chip which is cancer, on some cases. That would be another reason on not to receive it other then you will be saling your soul to the devil.
I'm a member of the AC Nielsen Homescan panel, and I just got a very strange survey from them. It asked if I had ever been diagnosed with any conditions they listed, it asked if I take prescription meds on a regular basis, and if I had taken any prescription medicine in the past 12 months for an acute illness. Then, it asked the name of my health insurance company, the name of the company that provides my prescription coverage, and the name of the pharmacy I use. I checked the boxes marked "other" and typed "NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS"
I have a funny feeling this survey has something to do with obama's upcoming healthcare nightmare. The purpose of the Nielsen Homescan panel is to track trends in consumer spending (food, clothes and gas) and has nothing at all to do with healthcare expenses. I was pretty stunned at the questions in this survey. They were pretty intrusive.
It also asked if I felt an obligation to serve "the greater good", and it asked how I would rate my self confidence.Very odd questions.
Speaking of government intrusion:
This is a little off topic, but I need to ask. Have any of you had census workers come to your house lately? I don't know if this was a census person or not, but this morning someone was knocking on my front door. I looked through the peep hole but I didn't recognize the woman. I peeked out the window to see if there was a car in front of my house but there wasn't. Normally I would have assumed she was a salesperson or a JW, but this woman was alternating ringing the door bell three times in a row and knocking very hard on the door. She was almost pounding on it. It frightened me a little, so I didn't answer the door. She left after about ten minutes. When she was gone I checked to see if she left a note or a business card on my front door, but there was nothing.
Sorry for thread-jacking. Back to original topic.
Official census isn't until next year. They're doing some pre-work now, but there are also a lot of scammers out as well asking for personal information, so it's best to be safe.

I find it odd that the Nielsen company would be asking those questions, but you may be right. It could have something to do with the new healthcare system that the Obama Administration is trying to implement. Even so, I found the questions on specific health problems & medications to be way too intrusive. I'm still waiting for the Zogby people to get back to me about that poll.
If the Obama Administration did not commission that survey, I would be shocked. I'm positive that they did, because the poll started with questions on my opinion of his job performance! Hmph!![]()
We in Britain already use chips to locate missing animals. Our medical records are already online in many parts of the country but the costs of setting up the National Health Service database has proved too costly to do. Many areas of the country are still to be signed to it.
Hmmm.... I take these e-surveys every so often, mostly consumer based questions. I had noticed a trend towards asking about medications and medical conditions though and coupled with reading about your survey I feel like something's definitely going on here!
I think bringing it to Hal's attention is the way to go!
The only chip I want implanted in my head better come from a Pringles can.
You all sound so indignant.
If it could actually work and was proven safe, I would, without question, have the one that stopped all disease. You would have to be a fool not to take advantage of such a miracle. The other ones they listed...they can keep 'em, I wouldn't want 'em !
If you know anything about the mark of the beast you know that you will not be able to buy or sell without it. These questions are not (at least on the surface) related to that.
Are the questions odd? Yes.
Are you all being honest with yourselves or just parroting what everyone else in this thread is saying??
Have you got any links to back up your claim about chips causing tumors or cancer? For years now, chips have been available for pet owners. It's not new. The mark of the beast only will occur when the AC makes his appearance, not before. Then people will choose to accept or reject the mark. Those who accept the mark will worship the beast, will have rejected Christ as their savior. Those people who accept the mark will be doomed to the firey pits of hell.
Evil has its origin. People on here are looking at where it leads, not just what the immediate touted benefits are as posed to them. Those who limit their scrutiny to the last minute are not looking at the real issues below the surface that determine the end result.
(Prov 22:3) "A prudent man sees danger and hides himself; but the simple go on and suffer for it."
If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.
The way you phrased that it reminded me of the lie that satan told to Eve regarding the eating of the forbidden fruit. You know, "Eat this fruit and you will be like God."If it could actually work and was proven safe, I would, without question, have the one that stopped all disease. You would have to be a fool not to take advantage of such a miracle.
I guess she thought she would be thought a fool to not take satan up on that offer.....

-- When the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved implanting microchips in humans, the manufacturer said it would save lives, letting doctors scan the tiny transponders to access patients' medical records almost instantly. The FDA found "reasonable assurance" the device was safe, and a sub-agency even called it one of 2005's top "innovative technologies."
But neither the company nor the regulators publicly mentioned this: A series of veterinary and toxicology studies, dating to the mid-1990s, stated that chip implants had "induced" malignant tumors in some lab mice and rats.

Then people on here are reading more into the question than it asks.
In my post I did say
"If you know anything about the mark of the beast you know that you will not be able to buy or sell without it. These questions are not (at least on the surface) related to that."
So as you state, there could be (and most likely are) issues "under the surface".
But...you all are still reading too much into the question. The question was simple,"Would you...If...?"
Oft times Christians are too afraid of progress and look at everything through a filter of suspicion.
What if it wasn't a "chip" but a "vaccine". I'd bet that over 99% of the members of this Forum have been vaccinated against a bunch of diseases. But, the word "chip" puts thoughts of "Mark of the Beast" into many Christians minds...The Bible mentions nothing about any subcutaneous implant. It says a "mark" on the forehead or the hand...Once again, reading too much into the question.
I wonder who the poll in the OP was really for.
The internet being the internet, though, I can just imagine a lot of "goof" answers.
Remember when on the game show Who Wants to be A Millionaire they'd ask the studio audience and an AOL audience? So many people in the AOL audience intentionally gave wrong answers for spite that they just stopped using it.
Also, bear in mind that the people who put polls together ask the same questions several times, but worded differently, to see if people are really paying attention.
I'm sure a lot of people on this board are aware of George Barna polls. I've about become convinced that Barna, or some organizations asking him to do polls, already have a conclusion in mind and just keep "polling" until they get enough answers to "prove" that conclusion.
"America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves."
Abraham Lincoln
This does sound like someone out there is probing to see if the "time is right" for the one world government and the implementation of the Mark once the Antichrist is on the scene. Too bad there aren't "Other" options where you can type in your own answers. Particularly.
"Do you consider yourself to be mostly a resident of: your city or town, America, or the planet earth?
My city or town
America
The planet earth"
