This is the tract I've been passing out for more than 15 years.

    http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/0001/0001_01.asp

Leave them in doctor's offices, on bus stops, top of payphones, on the back of the toilet, slip in with a bill or correspondence (snail mail), leave on magazine stands (Thrifty Nickle, apartment locators), vacant tables (food court at the malls), at the cash register when you reach into your purse/pocket to pay -- pull one out and leave behind, slip into an open car window, or place under a window wiper.

Rule of thumb: NEVER break the law. That mean's no mailboxes.

Keep a good witness in restaurants. Leave a TIP when leaving behind a tract.

Halloween is fast approaching. Hand them to TRICK or TREATERS.

My daughter and I were JUST talking about these gospel tracts. My husband and I used to leave these on a popular walking trail. We'd sneak a look back and rejoice when we'd see a jogger reading. We'd leave them at the food court at the mall and they would disappear FAST!

I just ordered 50 of these tracts 2 days ago. I'm adding them to my other stack to hand out this month.

God bless you for your part in sowing seeds!

    Shalom!
    Ruth

There have been many good ideas here for passing out your tracts. Be creative. However, don't be surprised if at the mall you are asked by the secruity guards not to do that. Many malls have "no solicitaion" signs up and passing out any kind of material is considered solicitation. Give it a try but don't be surprised if that happens.

In our area there are signs in the public parks which say "no solicitation, no passing out pamphlets, etc". I don't know how legal it is to do that but be prepared for a hard time if you are in an area that has signs like that posted.

" I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; I myself will see him with my own eyes--I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!"
    Job 19:25

Do you want to reach people for Christ with the Gospel message of salvation?

Thank you. I will check for signs as I do not want to do anything illegal. I trust The Lord will lead me where He wants me. I am going to keep some in my car so I will ALWAYS have some tracts available nearby . I am grateful for everyone's feedback. I am excited about this, another way to show my love for Jesus in a concrete way. I just ordered more tracts as the 25 I initally got are just about gone. I put some in the Post office, some in the grocery store and even put one in the banks drive thru container thingie. Also in the restroom of a local bowling alley.
On the back of the tract, I wrote a short note inviting whoever is reading to visit my Church and I gave the name , address and time of the Church along with my first name and first letter of my last name.
What do you all think of that idea? I was not comfortable with putting my phone number or last name but this way seemed appropriate.
    God bless and Good night..

Good job! Or maybe a phone number of your church so they could call with any questions, if they didn't feel comfortable going? (I'd tell my pastor first.)

I agree, I wouldn't feel comfortable putting my phone number on it either.

Just two days ago I remembered that I *forgot* I have tracts that I haven't given out yet... I've never been a tract person, but lately have been sensing I need to take advantage of everything available to get the message of Jesus out.

So many good ideas above. I like the one too about putting a tract in a Koran at the library. Maybe also some of the New Age books in the Religion section.

Also, Spanish tracts in the Mexican foods area of the supermarket.

    Default Tracts here... tracts there...

This past week, they were everywhere (at least where I live)! It's good to know that people are actively placing tracts in the hope that all will come to repentance and that none will perish! The ones spotted included handmade ones and chick tracts...

    Amen

Revelation 22:17a The Spirit and Bride are now saying, "Come!" The ones who hear are now saying, "Come!" The ones who thirst are now saying, "Come!" Come LORD Jesus !

I've had good experiences handing out Chick tracts. Once I was on a bus handing them out before I exited, then turned around and several people on my way out had their hands out wanting one, too.

Thanks so much for posting. I sent it to my catholic wife's e mail at her work. She'll read it on Monday, and I'm sure will come home furious at me for sending it. I don't know what else to do.

Wouldn't you be angry if she sent you things that mocked and belittled your beliefs? Put yourself in her shoes for a moment.

    What else have you tried?

I've tried bringing her to my Church, where she'll hear the Truth. I've tried bringing her to my Wednesday night Bible Study class. I've tried talking to her numerous times, but it always end up as a fight.
I completely understand her feelings. I would feel the same if I knew I had been scammed all my life. However, she knows the Bible, claims to be born again, yet continues to follow catholicism. She ministers the Eucharist every Sunday and is there every Holy Day. We've been married for 38 years, and I love her dearly, but since I was saved a couple of years ago, and learned the Truth, this has been a burden on my mind.
    What do you suggest????

Gandalf - I truly don't think you, as an unbeliever, know the desire on the hearts of us Christians to see that our loved ones come to know the Truth of Jesus and what He came and gave His life to do.

There is One Way, One Truth and One Life. Not every belief is valid.

I know catholics believe a lot of wacky things, but don't they also believe in salvation through Jesus?

If Jesus is mentioned, keeping the sacraments is what's salvific and even then, one can't be sure of one's salvation. Lots of info in Cults on Catholicism. Check out Buzz's dizzying charts on the Catholic view of salvation.

Catholics believe in salvation through Christ, yes.

They believe in salvation by grace, through faith, in Christ. Major difference in what the TRUE Church believes, though. The TRUE Church believes in salvation by grace ALONE, through faith ALONE, through Christ ALONE.

Not the same thing at all.

Catholics put works as necessary with the cross, which puts their works on equal footing with the finished work of Christ. In other words, they've diminished Jesus and made His sacrifice only part of salvation. Their works complete the process.

Hmmm... this raises an interesting question. If a person has faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior, but believes that they must also follow certain traditions to aquire a place in heaven, are they truly saved?

It's an age-old debate and one (of many) reasons why Protestants and Catholics are so divided.

People who say that Protestants and Catholics both follow the same Christ are naive, imo.
