Default I have personal wife question.

Hi first of all i figuered this would be the best place to ask this type of question.. since it is a ladies question..

My wife is going to get baptized in a about a week.. Today she came up to me and asked me an interesting question.. She was wandering if she is on her period during the baptism will she be considered unclean, since in the old testament there are some indications this female time period was considered unclean.

Hmmm. Not sure about that one. If it was me, I would wait until I was not on my menses.

The only thing I can say is that we in the Church are not under the Law.

I think it is a personal preference.

She wouldn't be considered unclean as she's already part of the Church if she's getting baptized. Baptism isn't what makes you come out from under the Law and into the Church. A belief in Jesus Christ dying for your sins does. She's already clean because of her faith.

I thought about telling her to wait, but the unfortunate part is that this church baptism will not happen again for quite a while..

It's not a requirement for the Christian Church because we are under Grace, not under the Law. She is not considered unclean because her cleanliness is dependent on her faith in Jesus, not by following the Jewish laws.

John 13:10 You are clean!! It was the ceremonial law that determined who was clean/unclean and the cross abolished the ceremonial law completely!!! Thank you Jesus

If your wife is worried about protection, a lady I know in a similar situation used internal protection at her baptism.

Agree. No one will know unless she tells them. It's natural...
