    Skip the chip!

Pray and be there. KNOW who your child is with. Be involved with your child - that is what will keep your child safe - as far as your efforts are concerned. Ultimately God calls the shots so put prayer as #! on your action list.

BTW, I wouldn't chip my pets. No need to. In over twenty years of having pets, NONE were lost, NONE were stolen and NONE ran away from home. When one was hurt by a near run in with a car, he limped HOME. Animals aren't dumb. They know love when they experience it.

I see this whole chip business as a way of undermining your authority and affection the animal has for you. If you are a responsible owner you won't have to fall for the scare tactics used to ease you into the chipping business.

I'm with Felix! !! We have 4 dogs and 8 cats and I won't chip any of them None have run away or been abducted probably because we keep a close eye on them. We only let the cats out in the dog run when they feel the desire to go out and when the dogs aren't lazying around on the couch or the beds, we put them in the run or corral for a half-hour tops. When we run them on the property, they have the "fear of Mom " instilled in them enough to know not to bolt. But we're always, always out there with them when we run them.

If you're a responsible pet owner, you don't need a chip.

I don't believe in chipping children either. Now a tracking device when they hit the teen years, no problem.

Default Florida to Electronically Track Alzheimer’s Patients

Alzheimer's Community Care in West Palm Beach in Florida said it would implant a radio frequency identification chip into Alzheimer's patients, but only with the consent of their families or the patients themselves if they are deemed competent.

The chip, which is slightly larger than a grain of rice, is implanted under the skin of the right forearm. Each chip will contain a unique 16-digit number that, when scanned in an emergency room, will link to the patient's medical records.

Mary Barnes, the president and CEO of Alzheimer's Community Care, said the RFID chips, manufactured by VeriChip Corp., provided the best means of giving medical personnel access to a patient's medical history, since people with Alzheimer's often cannot relay that information themselves.

It's not the Mark until there's a Beast. Even still, there's no way we know without a shadow of a doubt that this chip would become his Mark. With technology changing and becoming obsolete so quickly, the Mark could be something we don't even have an awareness of. Yet. Besides that, taking the Mark of the Beast won't be accidental. It will be with full knowledge of what you are doing.

But I respect your decision about what to do with your children.

Now I'm not married, but for those of you who are, if you are OK with chipping the kids, why not chip everyone in the family?

Think about it - if your husband/wife isn't doing anything "wrong" anyway, and they are never where they shouldn't be, why should they mind being "chipped"??? Why should you mind being "chipped" if you're not up to anything bad? Just curious. I feel like as technology advances our privacy is lessened even more. I like to be "lost" sometimes and it's harder and harder to do that!

I don't think this is the Mark of the Beast, but I do think it's a step in getting everyone used to being somehow marked so that they will accept the Mark of the Beast more readily without fighting it. The Mark of the Beast might be a microchip but I don't know for sure that it will be, but I don't rule out that or any other possibility.

Anyway, I don't plan on being here to find out!

Without going into oversensationalized skeery stuff, can we ever know our loved ones are truly safe?

For a little mini~person, I really think I'd seriously consider "chip'n" if the technology was proven safe, reliable, removable, and such

I didn't say it was the mark. I said it was conditioning them to take the mark.

several years ago, I used to tell everyone they are not taking the mark of the beast if it is against their will.

now if someone took the chip so they could sin like get inside a bar or club, then it is one step closer to taking the mark of the beast. The only thing is missing is the antichrist. Therefore, it is not the mark of the beast yet.

I can see the validity and usefulness. I have read too many sad story of alheimers patients that just walked out of their homes and care centers who died of exposure

Seriously, this is not the Mark of the Beast. That will not show up until midway through the Tribulation. Just because the technology exists, does not mean that using it now is wrong. Taking the Mark will mean worshipping the Beast, and if that condition is not present, it is not the Mark!

I trust in the Lord, and keep my guns under lock and key and my kitchen cleaners shut up under the sink and my meds inaccessible to little hands. And this is just in case friends visit with their kids!

It will not work to be negligent and then blame any tragedy on the Will of God.
And I don't think this will offer 24/7 monitoring. You will probably have to call into a central spot to have them track your child, just like they do with LowJack.
    Yup.
There is nothing I can say or do thats going to stop the mark from showing up and being accepted. In the mean time there are those with evil in their hearts that want to hurt my children. If it were available and affordable, I think my husband and I would chip our kids.

It si not a 100% safe world out there. Will a chip make it safer? NO!

God is in control. Chips will not replace God's will - whatever it is. I put my trust and faith in God; not a chip - man trying to play god.

We had an experience with a church where a member had an unhealthy interest in children. To make a long story short the guy was a pedophile according to the police - he displayed that attributes of one and later I found out that others had also left the church because of him. The minister protected him so we were forced to leave and still he harassed us. He finally stopped when we sent him attorney leaderhead stationary, carefully worded to stay away from us!

Now, would a chip have done any good? NO! He was trying to take her out of Sunday school and just "walk around the church ...". No, God is in control. If these were careless Sunday school teachers they could have let him, "take her out for a walk". He probably would have returned her to continue what he was up to ... and probably threatened her to keep quiet. That's usually how it goes with molestors. So again, would a chip have protected her? NO!

I firmly believe that God protected her and the Holy Spirit made us uneasy enough to learn about pedophiles and remove her from the situation. If something awful would have happened, I'd tearfully have to say it was God's will too even though my heart would be broken - I'd have to accept that, as hard as that would be. A chip is NOT going to stop anyone. If anything whoever abducts them will surely murder them because of the chip implanted. They won't want to take the chance of being caught with the child.

This reminds me of a car manufacturerer who in their zeal made it known that you could somehow OPEN THE TRUNK from the inside if you were locked inside - they had abductions on their mind ... . Now, if you're going to abduct someone would you use that kind of car to put their live body in? Of course not! Dumb ones might. SMART ONES, SUCCESSFUL ONES, SERIAL KILLERS won't do that. The reason they are successful is because they are smart.

Of course, you do as you see fit. I simply don't let scare tactics distract me or my faith in Him to watch over us. It is always His will that is done, not ours. Whether c person or an animal is chipped or not, it is God Who is in control and will determine where or not that loved one is found dead or alive. The chip made by fallible man will never stop God's will - one way or the other.

    This is awful.

WHERE is teh family? It is FAMILY that should be caring for relatives that have this terrible disease. Oh, I forgot, Uncle Sam is willing to pick up the tab and family is busy chasing the dollar and this would put a crimp in their life.

Not everyone has family members that can take care of them. What happens to the elderly that have no living children? What if they have nieces and nephews but their hands are full with their own parents and children?
As in the case of myself and husband, he is an only child. If something happens to me first, all he has left would be elderly cousins, then what?

This chip is not the mark of the beast. The Bible makes it clear it will be a conscious act of pledging yourself to the anti-Christ. Now I do believe that this is preparing people to accept the mark. I believe after the rapture and when the Lord begins to pour out His wrath on the world during the triublation, that most people will be glad to pledge their loyality and worship to anyone who promises relief from the wrath of God. They will probably think of how many people already have a chip, so it is no big thing. It is kind of like Esau who sold his birthright. People will put no value on their soul and will be happy to sale their soul for the right to buy and sell goods.

Anyone reading Revelations in the 1st Century A.S. would have known that the Mark will be a visible sign; it was a common custom then to have the name or symbol of a god/goddess that you were devoted to tatooed on your forehead or right hand. That may be one reason that Mosaic Law forbids tatooing, so the Isrealites would not copy Pagan customs.

And, IMHO, with Anti-Christ's ego, he will not accept anything less than a visible mark on his followers.

My FIL lives 1,000 miles away from us, and the closest family members have been less than perfect at keeping track of him. We are trying to get him into a home before he kills himself or someone else with his driving. (Although his license has been suspended, he does not seem to realize this, or care.) I would chip him in an instant if we could.

I understand what you are saying ... however when I was an infant I wasn't neglected and as a helpless as some of these adults however family would step in to help out even if it was just babysitting. I don't see the same kind of concern for adults that are almost as helpless as babies and need care.

My cousins are horrendous ... I won't go there and describe the situation ... only to say they threw her out of her home, sold her things and expected my Mom and Dad to care for her. My Mom has her hands full too with my Dad. So her sister-in-law stepped in. Her sister-in-law has a business and her husband (my Mom's brother) has a business and still they found the time and love to help my Mom care for her. She'd spend a month or two at my parents house and then at my Aunts house. It wasn't easy. I'd come down to help my Mom out. They're old school. I will have my parents live with me ... I don't want them in a "home". I view it this way, they took care of me when I was helpless and I will do the same for them no matter what.

I don't know the details of your situation but I see it over and over again, people are looking after themselves and don't want to show their Christian beliefs in helping others ... or let me rephrase that - helping others when it is convenient to them and no strings attached. Many have excuses to get personally involved and turn the "problem" over to the state. I don't think this is right and I doubt that Christ would approve of this. My impression of Christ is that he has a heart for those in need.
