Ok so what I'd like to know is whether or not stories about the persecuted can be posted as long as they are within the rules and not overly graphic in detail. For example: A news article in which it states a christian being imprisoned, or beaten, or killed, but without unneccessary details as to how exactly these acts were carried out?

I would like to know this too. I don't need the "gory" details. I just want to know and pray for them.

Honestly I am not here trolling. I am a Christian and I don't agree with your take on things. You obviously don't agree with my opinion. You are entitled to yours and I am just as entitled to mine. I am well versed in what the word decency means and I am not advocating indecency. I never said that.



Why the veiled threat? Just because I don't agree with you does not mean I deserve to be banned. There were other posters that have offered similar opinions to mine and they have not been pounced on. Perhaps it was my flame away remark. That was a joke. Hence the "lol" at the end. I was just voicing my opinion. Nothing more, nothing less. I suppose you may have taken my post the wrong way. Rolling in to challenge our rules, calling us pansies in rose colored glasses, over a simple rule that has been applied for several years is no way to introduce yourself.
Use common sense in your posting. We have several posts of bad incidents but we don't allow graphic details and we do not dwell upon the gory features of violent or sexual content. That's how we roll around here.

No posting sexual stories, gruesome crimes, horror stories, nor any other sin sick related stories, this type of information is not the objective of this board, we recognize we are living in the last 'Days of Noah'. The point is about stories being graphic and just too sin-sick. As the days get darker, these stories are horrific. This is a family-friendly board, which means that we want people to feel their children can come here to learn, too. We don't want them traumatized, nor adults, for that matter.

We can tell the stories in general and ask for prayer for our suffering brothers and sisters, but to me personally, we are not given the grace to endure their sufferings like they are. Some people are particularly sensitive and these things stay with them to haunt them, when the people who have been martyred have long been in complete joy with the Lord.

We know the days we live in are darkening and getting more wicked. We need to focus on the Lord and think on Him and hope in Him. Or we can easily lose our strength to go on day to day.

Again, we need to know how to pray for our suffering brothers and sisters, that is good. To veer from that into ghoulishness is not.

I think the point is you can post these stories, just don't go into to graphic detail or link to graphic pictures. You can request prayer for those suffering you just have to do it in less graphic manner. I'm all for praying for the families of those being martyred, like the families of those in Pakistan, but I think you can make the point without horrifying pictures and descriptions.

Ahhh, the pansy thing. Sorry you took that personally. It wasn't directed at you or anyone else here directly. It was rhetorical in nature but I guess I can see how you may be offended by that. As for challenging your rules, like another poster said just because I don't agree with them doesn't mean I will violate them out-right. I won't. I read the board rules again. I don't agree with a lot of them but I won't deliberately violate them. Peace?

Please follow your "Just a question" thread to Apologetics and confine your questions and posts to that thread only for the time being.
