Scroll down to where you see this:

Automated Removal Instructions for Total Security using Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware:

    1. Print out these instructions as we will need to close every window that is open later in the fix. Due to this malware infecting Internet Explorer, it is suggested that you use Firefox or another browser when following these instructions.
    2. Before we can do anything we must first end the Total Security process so that it does not interfere with the cleaning process. To do this we must first download and install a Microsoft program called Process Explorer. Normally, we would have you use the Windows Task Manager, but this rogue will disable the ability to run it. Please download Process Explorer from the following link and run the program:

      Process Explorer Download Link
    3. Once the program is running, you should be presented with a screen similar to the one below.

Try restarting your computer in safe mode and then try to install a new antivirus or use one of your current antivirus programs to remove it.

    1. If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power
    2. Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.
    3. Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
    4. Ensure that the Safe mode option is selected.
    5. Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.
    6. When you are finished with all troubleshooting [after you've installed a new antivirus, removed the virus, etc...], close all programs and restart the computer as you normally would.

The F8 key is on your keyboard. Should be near the top. You'll see F1, F2, F3...and so on. Use F8.

Okay, i had NO problem getting into Safe Mode. Thing is, once i was in there, all the icons on my desktop were HUGE. And when i clicked on my a-squared virus remover, the box in which does the scanning, was also HUGE. I couldnt click the box that said SCAN.
I couldnt make the darn thing smaller! I cant even make the icons smaller now...let alone on safe mode.

What am i going to dooo??

Everything is still big in normal startup?

Safe mode only uses the basic drivers, nothing more. It's mostly used to get rid of malware and viruses. Any advanced graphics won't be in operation, that's why everything looked big.

In normal startup everything is now back to normal size. But of course i cant open up my virus remover program now.
I could in Safe Mode tho, but it didnt do me any good if i cant hit the click button that says SCAN.

So now what? This is beginning to seem like a hopeless case.

Well, at least we know now that in safe mode you could do the scan...but the things are too big.

Is there a "hotkey" you can press to do a scan with your antivirus? You could press those keys the next time instead of having to scan. Is there no way you could move around your window?

It's a set key on your keyboard, maybe two keys that you can press at the same time to do a command on your computer.

For example, if you go to the top of your browser, click "File." You'll see things like New Window - Crtl+N, New Tab - Crtl+T and so on. Do you know if there is a set of keys you can press to do a scan?
