Caribbean Earthquakes

While not a major hot spot right now there is alot of activity here so what happens if an 7 or 8 quake hit this area??? It could take out florida easily with a tsunami as well as gerogia and south carolina and maybe even north carolina all of cuba and who know what else The Florida keys could be wiped out totally... Any thoughts???

I think the world is going to see an increasing number of earthquakes in places that the "experts" say shouldn't have any earthquakes...ever. That being said, I live in Iowa and would prefer not to face one of them...tornado activity every year is more than enough thank you very much...

I think this is going to be in interesting year 2010....and I think that their will be a lot more bad earthquakes and tonadoes, and hurricanes. I pray for people...but because we are in the late part of the last day's, it is going to get much worse...I think a magority of people don't realize what is going on, but after a few more big ones, maybe it will wake more people up..before the rapture happens.

Not sure about you all but here in florida we have maybe 7 frosts the whole winter. As of now we have had many frosts and hard freezes. My tropicals are a nice shade of tan and brown and many of much of my yard is dead. I mean dead not just dormant. today it is almost 60 whisch is one of the warmer days we have had since january about 5 days in the 70's which for many up north that is like heaven I know but for us in florida that is the average all winter.

That said the gulf is still cool which can mean 1 of 2 things it will be very dry this summer in the midwest or they will feel rains like no other depending on the gulf current... I could see it go either way as flooding to drought... Personally I am going with drought..I have already started investing in wheat and corn futures based on that for myself.

As for earthquakes I can also see that as being contributing if water tables go down that means less pressure against the plates holding them in place and as summer comes on the heat will build softing and expanding meaning come fall we could see more activity unless it is a volcanoe like yellowstone or other volcanoe areas.

For those of you that know about oil drilling it is not just sucking the oil out of the ground.. they fill the location of the oil with water so the oil that is 10 or 20 miles below ground or more rises and floats on the oil and the weight of the water keeps the balance of the cavity where the oil was as far as pressure...It begs to question the earthquake that happened in Oklahoma as maybe being a precursor to that being that water tables used to rain have fallen as the ground froze and natural filling of the water tables has not occured as usual due to the cold weather. that also brings to mind that if there is a sudden melt the water would go to the creeks and rivers and flow into the gulf futher cooling the gulf current...

it is almost like the axis is turning over more as we watch the antarctic lose ice now and the arctic gain more then usual and the weather changes world wide.. We may find more extremes in weather and ulitmately earthquakes and hurricanes... Can you imagnine a Earthquake in the Northeast like New york or Philidelphia??

It is quite alarming that these earthqakes are now in the Caribbean. I am orginally from the caribbean (Grenada) so I worry about my familiy left there still. But God is in control.

Yes, ditto on the Florida freezes. Yikes!! Its been colder for longer time than I can remember. I've been here for about 25 years now.

With all respect I do not feel planets aligning or 2012 concerns as the cause... Only G-d has the power to allow or not allow any thing that happens here on earth... Not a planet he created nor a date in time should we concern ourselves with only the will of Him and what he has determined and the direct warning and signs he gave. I see nothing in the bible about planets aligning or the date of 2012. Again with respect we need to stnad on the bible and it's word and not add to it... if you read the last page of Revelation even it says add nothig and take away nothing...We can sure give opinions but there has to be some biblical reference so as it says in Matt 24 there are signs but nothing about dates or planets

If you are one who still has ANY CONCERN AT ALL about the galactic alignment and the end of the mayan calendar long count on 12/21/2012, DO THE MATH before you fall into the trap being laid by the alarmists.

There is no MAGIC POINT where anything will CLICK INTO PLACE, rather there is an alignment that is so close right now that if it were going to actually cause anything WE WOULD ALREADY BE FEELING IT.

HERE IS THE MATH BEHIND MY STATEMENT....

The Mayan long count is 25,644 years long between one galactic alignment and the next.

On 12/21/2009 we were only 3 years away from the alignment.

If you divide 3 by 25644 you will get the percenatge of the way we are from the next alignment.

That gives you 0.0038% of the distance to go to the actual alignment. or 38 ten thousandths of 1 percent until alignment is complete.

If the gravitational pull were going to be that bad we would already be feeling it.

So hey,could something happen in 2012; of course it could, it just won't have a bloody thing to do with the galactic alignment or the Mayan calendar.

I just saw on yahoo news hat the Chile quake may have changed the earth axis and we might have shorter days. We probably won't notice in hours or minutes but the weather might be cooler................

I have a DVD titled The Star of Bethlehem, and after watching it, which I've done several times, I feel confident in saying that whatever alignment of the planets occurs and what the results if any, are on earth, of that alignment or realignment were determined when our Almighty God put everything in place "in the beginning". It's my firm belief that absolutely nothing has been left to chance. If anything spectacular happens in the heavens today, in 2012 or whenever, our God ordained it...IMO.

However...

There is a thread about God placing the Saints & Colts in the Super Bowl for the significance of Jesus/White Horse. If it is believed that God controlled the NFL season to have the significance is it so far fetched that He may align the planets that He created and set in motion?
