Thread: Knowledge vs. Obedience (Encouragement)

  1. Knowledge vs. Obedience (Encouragement)

I was reading Romans 2 this morning and just wanted encourage something.

    Romans 17-23 is particularly important-

What I got from this is the following:

Do we simply have knowledge of God's commandments and feel that is enough?

Has anyone ever said in response to you "I've read the Bible 3 times so I know what God says", or just simply "I KNOW" when you point out to them things in their life?

I sure have and I love that I now have this scripture as TRUTH to tell me that knowledge of God's word does please God, but obedience in light of that knowledge is where we are blessed and rewarded in Heaven and on this Earth....

I encourage you all to evaluate your knowledge and compare it to your obedience of that knowledge...

Heart knowledge brings a desire to obey, even if we often fail....we are steadily moving forward because we love Him and want to please Him with our lives.

    Nice reminder. Thanks.

Psalm 14:1 "The fool says in his heart "there is no God.'"

John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Rev 22:20 "He who testifies to these things says, 'Yes, I am coming quickly.' Amen, Come, Lord Jesus."
