ABC's remake of "V" - Visitors on earth

In Australia we got FlashForward about the same time as the U.S. and now we are seeing the ads for 'V' which is coming soon - so the whole world (?) will get the deception about the same time.

I have seen the trailer for Fourth Kind and thought it was demonic. Anyone remember the film (and book) Communion about Whitley Streiber's experience? Very demonic. The character in the movie who is Eastern European immediately recognizes 'the event' as something that has happened in the past in the old country - perhaps reminiscent of ghosts, vampires, werewolves, witches, etc.? The 'adversary' has an answer for every age we live in - now in the 'space age' we get demonic activity in UFOs to keep up with the times!

I remember some years ago when Independence Day first came out, I did not watch it for many years - my paranoia side said to me that there may be some subliminal stuff in that movie. Silly idea I know, but who can say that the people are not being conditioned to accept some extraterrestrial explanation for the rapture?

Yes! I saw that on DVD. At the end of the movie, they make the aliens all friendly and joking around with Whitley.

They also interviewed actor Christopher Walken who played Whitley, and he said he thought it would be wonderful if we really were contacted by aliens.

Man, I loved the two mini-series. I was 12-13 when they came around. I didn't watch the actual tv series beyond the first episode, because I was bummed that a regular got rubbed out right away in the first ep.

I think this new one is supposed to be more of a sequel than an acual remake? I may be wrong. I don't even know if I'll check it out or not. I generally just don't like newer stuff.

The thing about all this is, I like the old 50's sci-fi stuff too, and while there's a mention of God from time to time, even then it usually veered to evolution thinking and the like.

The deception has been warming up for a long time. Really, since the fall of man. Whatever it is in the Trib, there'll be lots of great 'wonders' going on, and people eat that stuff up today as we speak. That guy with all the tats who 'heals' people by kicking old folks in the stomach, etc... is just the primer. We see how many people buy into it already.

BINGO, Blood Bought! My thoughts, exactly. And, everybody notice how sooo many of these "experts" keep going back to the pyramids??? Yet another person (older woman who is obviously a New Ager) on the radio the other night talking about how there is a whole world BELOW us (hollow earth) and some of the entryways are under the pyramids! So many people are going to be so very fooled by this. I need to say more prayers for them!

I don't remember that part but I do remember that one of the aliens impregnated a teenage girl as sort of an experiment or something. She had twins, only one survived and the little girl was a grown woman when she was supposed to be 8 years old. The little girl was human on the outside and partly alien on the inside. Creepy!

I often wonder if part of the great decption also involves the hype surrounding THE year 2012 - the END of the Mayan Calender (which is not true) but a lot of people are preparing for "something" to happen. The whole alien abduction thing with all of us disappearing would dovetail in nicely with the whole Mayan calendar thingy. Hang on - 2012 is TOO long to wait!! Mishk.

Timefor, when the sound of the trumpet is heard by the bride, and Jesus takes them to safety, then will be the time that satan will have almost complete power on the earth to deceive because the Holy Spirit, the Restrainer, in the believers will have been taken away with them. Evil will have full sway and the adversary will attempt to kill as many as posssible through warfare to deprive them a chance of finding The Saviour!

I saw that advert for "The Fourth Kind" when I logged in to my youtube page - I immediately closed it out. Made me sick to look at it - like it was almost 'taunting' me ... Sad thing is, this world's going to accept the 'alien' explanation hook, line, and sinker. I He comes for us soon...

i think you're thinking of a sci-fi movie that has Dennis Quaid & Louie Gossett Jr in it... can't remember the name of it. but Gossett Jr is the alien and he has a baby < and what's worse then that...Dennis Quaid is in the film

If demons appear in alien clothing (regardless of whether it's just before or after the rapture) what will they do? Point to the antichrist as emperor/lord over the earth (and over them), fight with humans to push humanity together in a common cause to ensure the 1 world gov't, etc.? Fight only with new Christians and Jews? No matter what they do how long would they stay during the 7 years?

Obviously I believe there is a high likelihood of demon/alien appearances during the Tribulation period but how it mixes with Revelation, Daniel, Joel, Ezekiel, and all of the other end time scriptures would seem to me to be the bigger puzzle. But there is no mistaking the demon/alien connection, fascination, belief, and expectation on our planet right now. I've heard 2 interpretations over the years that the 200,000,000 army is men or that it is demons. And I've heard it said numerous times over the past 35 or so years that the Tribulation Period is VERY supernatural so one might obviously expect globally witnessed demon (alien) activity; even if the 200,000,000 army is still only men.

Or you could be thinking of the TV series "Alien Nation" I think it was called, where I remember the male aliens were bald and had these birth mark looking things in their heads. One of the guys was a cop and worked with a human and they solved crimes and overcame their...er..... differences. At one point in the series this alien cop gets pregnant by his wife, because in their species the males give birth.... It's so sad I remember this show.....

I've been reading this thread, and something just clicked in my mind........

You know how Jesus said that the end times would be "as in the days of Noah".........that they would be "marrying and giving in marriage"? I understood the marrying part, but always wondered about the giving in marriage thing.........the double term just puzzled me. Well, suppose He meant that along with the normal act of marrying, people would be giving themselves in marriage to aliens/demons..........as they did either before or during Noah's time???

I agree that this whole space alien thing is possibly going to be the great deception...........and, the world will find their existence filled with demons. Woe to them. I pray many will see the truth of God's Word before it is too late.

Am I making any sense?
