Default Frenzied cattle-chute customers nearly crush Wal-Mart employee in Black Friday Freak-Out

In my little town of Grinnell at the early morning opening of Wal-Mart there was a female employee off-loading a palette of reduced priced Black Friday stuff. Apparently the wave of slobbering customers was so intense that one of my friends had to help pull the Wal-Mart employee away from the crushing stampede of shoppers before she got hurt. She was literally being smashed between the press of customers and the palette. People were getting crazy.

I'm glad I'm not one of the credit card sheeple out there who act like this.

I went to Wal Mart on Black Friday to pick up a few quick things and was wary of the crowd. Fortunately we didn't have any crazies other than the usual blind shoppers with their bumper carts who were nothing less than an accident waiting to happen.

I understand how animalistic people get, so I'm all eyes when I go in there.

I'm told there was a fight there also between two ladies. Just wait until it's not discount Tickle-Me-Elmos or plasma screens, but palettes of wheat flour and barley.

Wait till economic times start getting really bad and the gov gets control of all food. This will be an everyday occurrence but on a larger scale.

if you think this is bad, wait until after the rapture when the Holy Spirit's restraining influence is removed, talk about a spiritual vacuum the wave of evil will be indeed be like stampeding cattle.that smiley at the top of my post is directed at the mere thought of the evil that will prevail that day.think of the levy restraining water and it suddenly breaks away and allows the previously restrained water to do it's worst.another illustration, take a garden hose, turn on the water then kink the hose and when the pressure builds up release the hose, feel the force of the built up water pressure leaving the hose although it is a short burst.kind of like that effect.

Why aren't these people embarrassed and ashamed to behave this way?

    Simple answer...

    2 Timothy 3:1-9

1 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.

2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,

3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,

4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.

6 For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses,

7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, rejected in regard to the faith.

9 But they will not make further progress; for their folly will be obvious to all, just as Jannes's and Jambres's folly was also.
    Matthew 22:36-40

36 "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?" 37 And He said to him, " 'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.' 38 "This is the great and foremost commandment. 39 "The second is like it, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' 40 "On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets."

We did get much business on Friday. Everyone was too busy to eat out.

Saturday picked up. I was taking people's orders and had many more people in the drive-thru whose credit cards were declined than normal (which had been declining in frequency for months now).

Why do people even eat on credit? Is it the point where there's no turning back so they might as well charge it anyway? I'm not sure.
They seem surprised when their card is declined. I dunno if they are pretending to be out of embarrassment, or what.
I give them the benefit of the doubt and try the second time in case the scanner messed up before telling them.
    God is logical.
If he wasn't, then he would have created the grass before the light!
What is the probability God would have gotten all 7 days in the right order if he had no logic?

You know even from a business stand-point, I would think that Mr. Wal-mart would want to make sure things like this do not happen at his stores. Period. Do whatever it takes to prevent it. Otherwise Wal-mart will become the Black Friday Joke every year, and its reputation will suffer. Now I imagine he does not think that it's possible, or that one day a year even matters. But even just the association overtime....can you imagine a few more Christmas's like these, and pretty soon, if you go to a Black Friday Wal-mart sale, you will be labeled a buffoon....

If I had a say in it I'd let people into my store one or two at a time until the crowd dies down. I don't care how long it would take; there's no reason for people to be trampling other people like that just to get a good deal.
